This Mexican restaurant & bar is more a bar than a restaurant. It serves food but i think if you want a reasonable meal this is not the place to eat. It is a good location on the corner of Rue du Pont & Rue Francois Miron in the 4th arrondisement of Paris just back from Rue de Rivoli which... More

I wouldn't recommend this place if you plan to eat. I had the worst fajita I have ever tasted today. Bland except a kind of garlicky undertone, soggy and inedible wrap, with a few bits of pepper and onions amongst a lot of chicken which was unpleasant in texture, colour and flavour. Lifeless guacamole. My boyfriend's enchiladas were better but... More

This is a nice place , nice bar, good location. The food is average and prices for beverages seem a little high.

The waiters pushed us to go for The happy hour, having some very expensive cocktails (awfull ones) and when The bills arrived prices were full. We tried to explain The situation to The owner but he didn't aplly us any reduction and we pay 82€ for few aperitife. Dont go to this place, cocktails are really expensive and tastes are... More

We went here based on the relatively good reviews and the fact that it was classified as an inexpensive restaurant. The owner appeared busy and disinterested. He barely greeted us, gave us our menus (which we couldn't read) and disappeared. The waitress who eventually came to our table was very nice and kindly gave us the other translated menus. She... We stop by to enjoy a drink and some appetizers from South of the Border. That is south of our American Border. Great ambiance. Great local flavor. Had a wonderful mocktail that was a ginger based mojito. Unique and delicious. Recommend stopping in to absorb some hip local Paris flavor

You don't THINK you are going to get hammered off those innocent margaritas, but beware: they are mighty potent at La Perla, and I think that is why Parisians are so loyal to the place. The food is not authentic Mexican by any standards (at least not if you have even a passing experience with "Mexican food"), so don't go... More

Our visit to La Perla was a welcome respite from typical French fare with a warm and inviting ambience and attentive service from a fellow Californio. We stopped in on a rainy evening in March and lingered over margaritas and tasty homemade chips and salsa. Natives of California, we've had our share of Mexican food, but thoroughly enjoyed this take... More

The bar is in a great location, inside you can smell Mexican chilli and the cocktails looked amazing. When the complimentary tortilla chips came with salsa which tasted fresh and spicy we thought we were on to a winner. The meal itself however was a bit of a left down. We ordered the chipotle chicken, a chilli con carne burrito... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
