What a treat to try the oldest restaurant in Paris the food was magnificent and the attention to detail amazing. This was fine dining from another era and one we will always treasure thank you to staff of Tour d'Argent for an unforgettable evening

This was our third year going to Tour d'Argent for Christmas lunch, and I don't think we'll return, it was so disappointing. Other years there was a 3 course Christmas menu, but it was also possible to order off of the regular menu. This year when my husband made the reservation, it was not clear to him that it was... We recently returned for our annual Christmas day lunch at the Tour d'Argent and were very saddened by the changes. We had the fixed menu, which was not as good as in the past. What saddened us the most was the lower level of service. We had a wine recommended to us that proved quite rough and overpowered our seafood... More

We go to Tour d'Argent every year for a holiday luncheon. It gets better every trip! The price fix luncheon menu is fabulous. The menu is more imaginative than before; the chef is brilliant. The owner is very attentive and comes by every table during the course of the meal. The views down the Seine, particularly of Notre Dame, are... More

unique position and view. Amazing food and wines. Customer care. Listening the clients with humility despite the "grandeur " .......contrary to other minor but arrogant restaurants . simply one of the best al in all in Europe.....not only food but "emotions"

It is one of the best restaurants I have dined. Like the best service, the waiters put you at ease and make sure you enjoy the meal. Every course, and the many extras that appeared, was top-level cuisine. They could have served the duck just by itself and it would have been just as memorable. An elegant dining room with... More

I took my fiancée here with high expectations, and it certainly didn't disappoint! We ordered the prix fixe lunch w/ 3 courses, but they actually bring 5 additional courses of small delicious plates of various appetizers and deserts. This, on top of the view of the Notre Dame cathedral, made for one amazing culinary experience! Tip: Order the duck, it's... More

La Tour d'Argent is à Paris institution that had fallen down with the years but was given a new talented chef a few months ago. So it is full of hopes that I went back to La Tour d'Argent after years of declines. Conclusion: The decline is not over, the restaurant is getting worse. First of all, we had to... More

An iconic, historic restaurant in Paris with a fabulous view on Notre Dame de Paris The most famous dish is still the Duck which come from the very own farm of the restaurant, you will have a card with the number of the bird you ate. Service perfect, professional. Ambiance elegant "parisian" Don't forget to visit the cellar

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
