Good food, particularly the seafood platters. Honest french cuisine, nothing fancy just real brasserie food "comme il faut". Service is rapid & efficient, although a tad cold at times (which is why I've given them 4 stars rather than 5). Decor is authentic art deco & quite lovely. I highly recommend !

What can I say, Ambience 10/10, Character 10/10, Welcome 10/10, Service 10/10, Food 10/10 A fantastic meal with good company, I have no knowledge of prices as I didn't pay and we had a pre planned meal with various options so I didn't see the full menu.

Loved this traditional french brasserie rated by blogs as one of the top ten in Paris..Reservation is a must..the welcome is courteous and the tables are sufficiently separated allowing for privacy. The food including excellent seafood (oysters!!!!),fish dishes and meat dishes is of good standards..we had lamb cotelettes with green beans -a franch home dish-and slow oven cooked seabass ...both very... The traditional French brasserie atmosphere, friendly staff and healthy menu choices made this a great experience for my husband and myself.

My girlfriends and I thought this would be a fun place to see after seeing it in the movie. We were greeted warmly at the entrance and shown to our table. We were pleased with our food, but nothing was particularly special about it. The evening was brought to a sudden downturn as a roach appeared on the very center... More

An amazingly opulent restaurant. A brief flashback to grand times of dining. Simply wonderful food with such amazing depth of flavours. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable without being intrusive, as can be sometimes the case and so off putting. Oysters to start from Cancale. So fresh and yummy. Although, eating oysters on the Quay in Cancale with a bottle... More

I saw this beautiful restaurant in passing after visiting a nearby passageway and when I stepped inside it is so beautiful that I instantly expected it to be very expensive. I ordered French onion soup at 11€ and there was a delicious set menu that my partner got that was a main course, dessert, coffee for 18€ which I thought... More

I love this restaurant! Great.atmosphere and traditional decoration. Lots of details, mirrors and plants. Always busy and lots of tourists but book in advance and will be ok. Set menu around 30 to 40 euros.so same price as any other Parisian restaurant. I always go for the escargots and braised beef...but other options available. Only complaint with a clumsy waiter... There hasn't been a review of this place for afternoon tea, and not surprisingly so. I had called to check that they would be serving around 5pm and was told that was fine. The restaurant is beautifully decorated from the turn of the century with high ceilings, mirrors, painting ... Upon entering we find a few people finishing lunch and... More

Every time we are in Paris we go to the Le Grand Colbert, usually for lunch. It is located in the center of Paris on the Right Bank making it a good place to stop in after shopping all morning. The decor is old French, decorative, and elegant. The menu concentrates on fish, but there are plenty of other good... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
