Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our final night in Paris was topped off with a visit to Les Petit Chateau. We were warmly welcomed and we advised the staff we spoke very little French and they were super helpful and accommodating. We ordered one entree, four mains and four desserts...and a bottle of red. The food was superb… we couldn’t have asked for better to end our Parisian holiday. It was affordable, delicious and the service impeccable. We would highly recommend this beautiful restaurant.More

I've been here before with my Mum in May but didn't review. Now back with my French family (I'm a Brit). I love it here, friendly, fire cooked steak. Huge portions and friendly staff. I must say the restaurants next to Notre Dame are mostly...commercial so to find a traditional fare was incredible. I really like it here.More

This restaurant is a gem, the best we ate at and loved everything about it. It’s a cosy traditional restaurant, with fresh cooked food and lots of specials each day. The wine is reasonably priced too and good quality. We ate ox cheek, scallops and...duck all meals were fantastic. We all had homemade desserts too. I would rank this 7 out of 5 if I could. It gets busy and downstairs is a little nicer than up (we sat upstairs and was great to be fair!) but it doesn’t matter. Others around us loved the food and ambiance too. I can’t recommend it enough.More

Not sure why we eat anywhere else. Too bad they don’t serve breakfast. Ate there tonight, made a reservation for tomorrow night. Reservations recommended. Tonight about €136 for one filet, one sea bass, one scallops shared as starter, two glasses of champagne and wine, two...desserts. Good conversation sitting at either side of the main dining room. Tomorrow dining outside.More

First place we ate in France, the starter escargo was great. Unfortunately, my steak was really undercooked. Service was okay, they never followed up about the food and didn't say anything when I left a major portion of it

There was an empty table outside. We were refused service but after the maitre/manager profiled us decided that we were just good enough to eat on the 2nd floor. The first table was right above the grill which it was like to be inside an...oven. Then thanks to a magnanimous act from the maitre we were offered another table on the 2nd floor. Nothing great because there were 6 people scattered in 2 tables on this floor. Since the beginning I wanted to leave but my wife insisted to stay because she was hungry. I fully regret my decision! When we started to order a full expensive range of food for 3, suddenly they became very friendly!! The food was less than average!! There is nothing that I could say “Ohh this is great”. The escargots? Poor; The foie gras? Poor, The coquiles st. Jacques? Poor!! My wife’s and daughters’ food? Bad!! To complete the experience I ordered crepes with Grand Marnier! The crepes were filed with some orange flavor granular texture that wasn’t good!! I just put 2 stars because of the waitress tried to please us! AVOID IT!! Not good at all!!!More

Very nice spot for dinner. The service was attentive enough, reasonable ambiance, good wine list and a good range of choices of food. Staff were friendly. Portions were substantial, and the wonderful bread was refilled when we finished the first basket, so we had to...skip dessert, despite our wish to try the profiteroles. My artichoke starter was excellent and my husband’s foie gras was good. His steak was enormous, and very good. My duck was just what I wanted, so we left happy. Overall decent value for money.More

Great food & drinks. Friendly service that was very patient with our English. When it rained, they gave us a spare umbrella for our walk home.

Wonderful food, great ambiance, casual dining but with an elevated feel. Friendly service. Our whole group just fell in love with the place and decided to come back for dinner again on our last night in Paris.

At the recommendation of management at Hotel Notre Dame, we stopped by for dinner on our first night in Paris. As starters, we had the escargot and beef tartare with potatoes and salad. Very generous portions, so generous that we ended up cancelling our main...entrees, as it would have been too much food. The escargot was served very differently: in a broth or soup with mushrooms and a puff pastry on top. I loved it; boyfriend wanted traditional escargot with the herb butter. I thought the beef tartare was excellent, but boyfriend was looking for something more traditional. We shared a nice bottle of red French wine, and had the dessert, which was cheese with a tart fruit sauce on top of it and fresh mint. A colorful presentation, but neither of us liked the dessert very much - too tart. Not terrible, just different. The servers were friendly and charming while accommodating our insufficient amount of French speaking skills. Solid bistro food adjacent to Hotel Notre Dame.More

Because the reviews were so good we made a reservation here for our last night. It was our only reservation for our entire 3 week trip thru Italy and Paris. Unfortunately it was a huge disappointment! Finally we were seated due to the fact that...no one took the time to check in with us as we stood in the middle of the main dining room. Nicholas took us upstairs to our table after asking our name for the reservation. We had a great view of Notre Dame. We sat there for 25 minutes before Nicholas came back and I met him at the base of the stairs since I was so thirsty and wanted something to drink. It kept getting worse. We ordered starters that were ok. The artichokes were delicious but the cheese tart was very oily.and it said Chèvre but it tasted like OLD Brie. Next came our main dishes. I ordered the grilled lamb skewer and Boo ordered the Coquilles. The lamb was burnt & charred, the vegetables on the skewers were inedible, everything including the potatoes were burnt and inedible. When Nicholas returned he said I should have said something but he never checked on us. That means I would have to walk downstairs again. DO yourself a favor and choose a different place. This restaurant at night with that staff is AWFUL!! They need to go to the Lou Lou cafe and see how those young servers engaged and serve with smiles and attention and personable service. The only reason I gave a one star was for the view and the artichokes. There are so many wonderful places that need no reservation and I still regret choosing this place for our last night!More

Charming small restaurant! We sat right next to the grill and watched each waiter cook the orders. Had a wonderful dinner here.
