My wife and I stayed only for one night but wished for more. Sold out! Only 8 rooms but the most beautiful rustic beach decor in this boutique hotel. There is even waiter service right below the room on the beach. Room was not large but had great decor. Definitely the feel of an upscale beach loft. Would highly recommend.... More

As an expat in Paris I have a list to check before I trust the establishment 1) Food: this one is usually checked well in Paris, and this place is no exception. Their main food is great (70% traditional 30% contemporary touch) but their side dish is moreish too. The boon is the boulangerie across the bistro where my favorite... More

this pretty small restaurant is typically paris. It looks like a film set, but ut offers wonderful french dishes. Especially the dessert are are very good. Staff is great. The restaurant is small, so you should be a bit flexible and it a bit noisy because of the tables close to each other. But is worth a visit!

Wonderful neighbor restaurant. The quality of our food was exceptional. My wife started with onion soup which was made with a delicate veal stock, while my dozen escargot were in an excellent garlic sauce. She finished with an asparagus salad topped with poached pears on toast. I went to their memorable scallops wrapped in lardon with risotto.

This neighbourhood bistro has tons of charm. It's close to Village St. Paul and the Marais, but only few tourists make it to this place. Instead, a lot of families and locals come here for lunch. Service is unrushed and friendly. And the food is well prepared and tasty. House wine is better than average and before we left we... More

We stayed in an airbnb just across the road from this lovely, friendly local bistro. Great food, well done. Only downside is that it is a victim of its own success on TripAdvisor: more tourists than locals on the night we went

I let my husband choose the place for lunch and when we turned down the street I thought I had really made a mistake! However we arrived at a quaint bustling locals place to enjoy a truly French lunch! We ordered off the lunch specials board where everything sounded good! My husband chose the salmon skewers that were covered in... More

Staying in the Marais for a few days to celebrate my Dad's 85th birthday. Imaginative menu, excellent food, well presented by friendly staff. The scallop risotto and beef cheek were stand out favourites. €50 per head including wine. I'd go back tomorrow.

We went there ecuse of a recommenadtion in our guide book and they were right. We enjoyed the very authentic french appetiziers and main dishes with good wine. The restaurant was well attended and one should make a reservation before showing up. But we were lucky and a group of people let us join their table. The staff was very... More

You're not gonna spontaneously walk by this one, as its at the end of several very small streets maybe 8 blocks from the Bastille circle/Metro stop, and nowhere near any active retail corridor. Finding it is sort of fun though, if you're not in a hurry. Yes, it is small but not shoebox small, maybe seating for 30 tops. We... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
