Cozy, romantic place (could have used spme soft music, but no complaints). Friendly and helpful staff, awesome food. I had the wild duck, very nice! Crepe suzette desert, great wine. The topper was the family cognac, so wonderful, must try.

We had planned to take night photos with the Eiffel Tower as backdrop near the Trocadero Metro stop and afterward wanted to have a fine dining experience nearby. Restaurant Paul Chene was a superb choice with which we could not have been more pleased. Reservations are essential as there are only six tables. Howard (professional, personable and possessing a fine... More

We were recommended this restaurant by the concierge at Le Dokhan's hotel, and we are so glad we went! The place itself is intimate and very traditional. Set among quieter streets, it may be easy to miss. However, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The menu, although seemingly small, is that of the highest quality. The food was delicious, absolutely... More

When we are in Paris, we always make it a point to dine at Paul Chene. The food is fabulous, both in taste and presentation. I usually have the coquilles saint jacques; and my husband often has the chateaubriand Rossini. The crepes Suzette for dessert are a must - I never have them anywhere else, because they are never as... More

The restaurant was recommended to us by the concierge at our hotel and what a fabulous recommendation! Paul Chene is a wonderful, intimate dining experience in a cosy setting. The proprietor greeted us and made us feel welcome and comfortable, even explaining a little about famous diners who have come before us. I was travelling with my Mother for a... More

It is always a pleasure to come back to Paul Chene. The new owner is continuing a great tradition, providing not just an outstanding meal with great choice of wine, but a very personalised experience, with excellent service and great conversations. His menue is impressive by itself, but on top of this there are seasonal and special offerings! And if... More

the host was great and fun and made great recommendations for our meals and wine. We both tried many new things and loved them ... if you were only going to have one Parisian dining experience this would be the one I would recommend

Incredible meal showcasing the best of French cuisine. The host created a welcoming environment for Americans who don't speak a word of French. The meal and experience were so good we've decided to return for a second meal before departing. Well worth the price.

Had an outstanding lunch in Paul Chene. Focus was on fresh ingredients, traditional cooking and fantastic service. Every dish was excellent ranging from the tuna mayo on toast to the baked seabass with mushroom pate in pastry. The homemade gelatos will blow your mind (seriously). Our host was knowledgable, entertaining and was about as good as they come. Our meal... More

Staying in Trocadero

Neighbourhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
