We were staying at a hotel nearby and were meeting up with some family. My cousin saw the comments and thought, let's give it a try. Definitely not disappointed, even worth a detour. Very tasty, real homemade French cooking.

Very friendly, tables crammed in, and huge portions. Thank heaven we didn't pig out on the bread and dips, because our main course was too large to finish. Better than average cooking.

Really good food, nice contamination of French traditional menu with a bit of North African spices! Very welcoming owner (speaking also some Italian) and staff, on top it is also cheap: 23€ main course + dessert. For sure I will come back!

We chose this place for a birthday lunch for two. It has creative interpretations on traditional French bistrot cooking. It's extremely good value for the lunch menu - three courses for under 30 euro. The 'aperitif maison' is a sparkling rose, which was very good.They...More

We literally stumbled across L'Alchemiste while looking for a camera cable, so as you can imagine it's not on a major thoroughfare. It was around lunch it looked cute, so we dropped in. If you can imagine yourself in cozy authentic bistro, brim-full with charm,...More

We were a big group of friends. We had to book in advance as the restaurant is always busy and it's not big. The restaurant offers menus : starters/dessert + main course or the three courses meals. But if you want only the main dish...More
