Great cosy atmosphere in an ancient and unspoiled town house with roaring fires, historic interior and efficient and expert service. The food is very french, escargots, beef bourginon are the order of the day along with wonderful wines. We chanced upon this wonderful place and it was a joy.

Friendly staff that accommodate me even though they couldn't find my reservation. The place itself was cozy and warm, giving it a authentic parisian feel. The food was tasty and rich but in a good way. Would definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning again.

I could not give anything less than 5 stars. The food was spectacular. The Beef Bourguignon was amazing, the best I have ever had! And the filet with peppercorn sauce was out of this world. Every aspect of our dinner was perfection. The atmosphere was very romantic and cosy. This is a must go to restaurant. Make sure you have... More

The interior is just incredible. It feels like you travelled back in time to dine in some wealthy family's private living room. Velvet sofas, library filled with classics, multiple fire places, suggestive paintings and classical music playing in the background. The food was excellent. Exquisite boeuf bourgugnon, canard (duck) and ratatouille (vegetables). Would definitely go back.

Restaurant was recommended by hotel concierge. We went there with two teenage kids on our first night in Paris. My son has a severe nut and peanut allergy and the restaurant was very helpful and no issues at all. Kids loved the escargot. All meals were amazing! Highly recommend this restaurant.

We stumbled upon this restaurant originally planning to go to one across the street for dinner, but were intrigued by the place with ivy on the exterior and many diners looking like they were really enjoying Le Coupe-Chou's hospitality. We all thoroughly enjoyed the meals, which were of a very high standard and good value as we all chose from... More

I took my daughter and her best friend here for a 13th birthday dinner. The food and service were both absolutely amazing. It's very small and quaint in a 17th century Parisian home, all stone, large fireplace. You will not be disappointed with this choice!

We had Christmas lunch here and really enjoyed the experience. The interior is very classic antique French, with a cosy fireplace and wood/stone features. We can recommend it for romantic dinners or groups. The food was very good. When we visit Paris, we normally go to Le Petit Prince across the road - now we will have a difficult choice!

I had my favorite meal of my trip to Paris here! The building itself is an old little house that is covered in ivy. It was hard to find but well worth it. We entered the converted house and were seated next to a fire place. We enjoyed delicious escargots to start (ordered 2 for the 4 of us). And... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
