5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 October 2016 via mobile

We were told by the dedicated chef that he personally knows the people from every vineyard that supplies his wine list. Had a good meal at this quaint restaurant... More

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 June 2015

We were looking for duck for dinner and we loved it. Real hand-crafted meals by a master. It is a very intimate experience, but if you don't want to eat canard or foi-gras then it is not the place for you.

Simply put, la Cordonnerie is exactly what dining in Paris should be. Firstly, the place was packed with locals but also had servers that spoke English well; it is easy and comfortable for tourists to access without being a tourist trap. In addition to this, the place is bursting at the seams with charm: quiet but friendly Chef Hugo comes... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
