Went here on a Monday night and made a reservation 2 hours prior cause I know it's a really small spot. We were a party of 9 and my bill came up to 270 euros. Some of us had a 4 course meal and some of us had a a la cartel meal. Not a fan of the French cuisine... More

My wife and I had the pleasure of being in Paris for three nights and we were looking for a good resturant. A friend of my wife suggested A la Biche au Bois. I am very grateful for this suggestion because this was the best meal we had, in Paris. We went to this charming resturant on Saturday February 18,... More

We had read the reviews of this restaurant and wanted to try it for a while. You have to reserve a table because it's really busy. It doesn't look much from the outside but easy to find from Gard de Lyon. You also need to get past how close you are to the people on the tables next to you... More

Superb evening with a buzzing atmosphere. We booked for 9.00 pm and had to wait a few minutes for our table to be readied. No problem as the other customers waiting were chatty and friendly. First courses were a rabbit paté served with gherkins and plenty of excellent bread, and perfectly poached eggs in pumpkin sauce - divine! Next, quail,... More

We visited Paris by train arriving at lunch time and walked straight here from the station. We had booked following the recommendations on this site. We breezed in past those waiting outside and our luggage and coats were stashed. Not many tables but all the mirrors make it like Popeyes's tent. Food and wine superb. Yes they accept dogs. Gluten... We visited here recently and had a delicious meal. We each had a different starter, all really tasty (salmon rillettes, poached egg in red pepper puree and my rabbit terrine), followed by the venison casserole – beautiful tender chunks of venison (biche) in a deliciously unctuous sauce. A large pot of the stew was brought to our table with another... More

Identifying restaurants that are a little or a lot off the heavily beaten tourist track can be a dit difficult if you don't know your way around the city. We absolutely loved our long dinner, the friendly helpful service, the food, oh the food. Recommend to anyone who is a carnivore.

This is s great little restaurant which was rightly packed the night we visited. The genuine food is delicious and reasonably priced. It is only a short walk from Gare de Lyon where we were staying and we will certainly come again when next in the area.

Visited here with my girlfriend tonight, excellent service and great atmosphere, authentic French, be prepared to spend 2 hours here as plenty of time to digest between courses. I recommend the 4 course menu - beautiful!!
