On my first day, on my first trip to Paris, I happened by this location and thought I would go in to see what they had. I bought a couple of macarons and chocolates to take back to my hotel. Well, one bite of each and it became a habit (that was in 2008). I went back towards the end... More

The choices can be overwhelming but you really can't go wrong. The staff were helpful and informative and every macaroons is beautiful.

The cakes here are something else, well worth joining the queue for. They also have delicious chocolates and macaroons

Wow. Delicious and unique (fancy and expensive) macrons. Kids had sweet, chocolate, caramel and one made of roses, wife had dark chocolate and I had the foie gras. Yep, foie gras macron. Highly recommended just off the Marais.

Went today and got 2 cakes (the vanilla tart and the litchee/mango mousse) which were superb. Also bought some macarons, chocolate and panettone, which the waitress took the order for and is preparing for tomorrow so that we don't have to queue and the packet/bags are all ready for us.

I grew up in a part of the USA where every neighborhood had its own bakery and everyone proudly argued how theirs was the best in the city. The bakeries were strongly German influenced and the pastries were sweet, rich, doughy and dense as much of a meal as they were a treat. As a result I have always used... More

Been here a few times, never disappointing. They do open on Sunday and Laurdee do not. It is always busy and their pastries and macaroons / chocolates are never disappointing. Products are very pricy but worth a treat! Definitely need to stop by!

This place is class all the way with the flavours to back it up. The shop is exquisite and and the macaroons are to die for the only shame is that you can't try everything!

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
