We had a delicious, relaxing dinner here. Our reservation was for 7:00 PM, and the restaurant was empty when we arrived. It was full when we left. It looked and felt how I imagined a classic French restaurant would look and feel. Food and service...More

A must see. Been there several times and it is beautiful, great food and so typical of old France. It's like jumping back in time. The location is lovely. I go back very often.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and nice interior decoration. The foie gris and the salads were very nice but we all found the main course veal to be tough and quite boring served with mashed potatoes and a mushroom sauce which did not have much flavour...More

Dined at Hotel Du Nord on our first night of a recent visit to Paris. Overall experience was extremely dissapointing. Found the staff unattentive and frankly quite rude at times; at one point, we had to ask three separate staff members, and finally the restaurant...More

The restarant is pretty large (can be expanded) and caters for groups. The menu is ok and food is well prepared, tasteful and in large portions. But all dishes are" the usual stuff" in a stardard French restaurant. Only very few wines by the glass...More

We visited on Christmas Eve and enjoyed a fine meal in a festive atmosphere. Located along Quai Saint-Marten, the restaurant has a delightful, retro 1930's decor, like a well-preserved set from the 1938 movie. The staff was ebulliently friendly and helpful and contributed to the...More

Visited Saturday night with my teenage daughter in December. Restaurant was full to capacity which did slightly affect the service - but we had a lovely evening none the less. This place has a lovely waterside setting and traditional French feel. Felt a little bit...More

Family dinner here. Great dishes and even a nice hamburger for the less adventurous. Nice place to bring a large family with varied tastes.

The food was Ok this time but we had missed the beef with frites and chicken with mash was the sustitute, however it was chefs day off I think. I asked for the chicken but with frites instead of mash. The frites were not properly...More

The tree-lined Canal Saint-Martin is the focal point
of one of the most romantic and hip areas of Paris.
Watch boats travel along the canal while lovers and
friends take in the atmosphere from the banks or the
bridges. Evenings see hoards fill the embankments to
drink wine and enjoy good company. The colder days
lead people to hipster bars, cozy restaurants, and
concert spaces. Those who are more adventurous may

Description
The Hôtel du Nord, is opposite the famous Canal Saint Martin in the 10th arrondissement in Paris. Famous amongst French film buffs for having featured in a film by Marcel Carné in 1938, the Hôtel du Nord has retained all its original charm of the period. Popular with tourists and locals alike, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The manager takes great pleasure in telling clients the history of the area! The cuisine is simple but refined and there is an extensive and interesting wine list.
