Choose you wine and they'll give you the food it pairs with. That's the main approach they pursue. But in practice we went with the tasting menu, with wine pairings. The experience was very nice as we've been invited trying to blindly guess the wine, adding some friendly competition to the table that contributed to the atmosphere. We added the... More

We did the tasting menu with wines as well and it was all excellent. The foie gras in corn and bourbon sauce in particular was savory and silky - it was my husband's favorite of our entire 9 day stay. (And he does not eat corn or drink bourbon normally!) The tasting menu pairs each dish with a wine selection.... More

Last night over a three hour period, I had one of the best culinary experience of my life. The food was prepared perfectly from the fois gras in corn and bourbon sauce to the white truffle pasta and the pigeon breast. Each wine was paired perfectly from the Bolinger aparatif through the nice Sauternes with the fois gras, the Barbera... More

Had dinner at Il Vino for the second time on Sept 20th. 2016. Last time was 2 years ago. Standards were exactly the same this time - the highest. The accent is on wine. You choose the wines and the chef will choose the meal to go with it. We chose the menu that features the second wine of Chateau... More

This is a unique experience as you select your wine and the chef creates the meal to go with it. The menu is literally just wine. The Sommelier was excellent and the food fantastic. You don't know what you are getting until it comes out. We loved this restaurant and would definitely visit again.

This was the best (and most fun) meal we had in 2015. My wife is vegetarian and it's so hard to find a good meal for her, even in Paris, but this was sublime.

My wife and I had one night in Paris and we wanted to eat in a Michelin hatted restaurant. We selected Il Vino due to the cost, the location and its reviews. We did not understand the Il Vino dining concept prior to arriving, which was that there is no menu and that the food is based around the wine.... More

I heard about this place from the companion restaurant Goust last year. I thought this concept was very interesting considering my love of wine. I did the tasting menu and it was wonderful. It's a blind tasting, you have no idea what food or wine will be arriving. It's a delight. The waitstaff explains all the dishes and the wines... More

we picked the menu tasting with wne pairing, but honestly, both wines and food were good but under my expectation. the tasting menu wich included white truffle dish, definitely was bland, perhaps, the white truffle was a bit overdue.

We were two couples going one Saturday evening. We chose the blind tasting. They chose the wine and the food. Loved the food, very inspired and tasty, loved the service. The wines were good, not really special but decent. I would go there again.
