My favorite place to visit everytime I'm in Paris. Although the wait staff can be a bit aloof the place makes up for it with the cool street vibe and the amazing food. I've never had an average meal here-always delicious. Try the Moules et Frites. One of the best ever!

They have seafood and oysters, mussels and they are always full, it cannot be bad. personally I have eaten moules marinières (with onion and white wine), they were fresh and well prepared. the service was fast and efficient but waiters seemed exhausted, but friendly. Prices are reasonable. There is a large choice of dishes in the so called "brasserie style".... More

Rue de Buci (pr "boossey") is a busy little back street off Blvd St Germain and not to be missed if you're in the area. It has a mix of cafes, bars and some quiant homeware shops too. L'atlas is a seafood restaurant with a family feel and chairs spilling out onto the busy narrow street. Waiters crack open trays... More

We had walked for a long time and stumbled on to this place hungry. Welcoming staff who helped with the menu, french onion soup was lovely and steak good (fries were basic). 12€ for a standard beer (1664 Kronenburg 50cl) really takes the biscuit though. Nice atmosphere we live street music.

Do not go here there are many brilliant restaurants in the area but not this one. Didn't do our research and plumped for this restaurant as it was busy, in a great location in a busy pedestrianised street that was buzzing, with a jazz band playing. Went downhill from there. Realised quickly everyone in the place was an American tourist... More

We had breakfast here on our last satin Paris. The restaurant was clean. Service was not overly friendly, could be because it was early on a Monday and everyone was a little slow. I ordered the croque Atlas, it was ok at best. BF had a cheese omelette also just ok. Coffee and bread were good.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
