I can sympathise with the previous reviewer and imagine how he may have received this response. However my sister and I had a largely super experience. Good service and tasty food. Not familiar with the wines on offer my sister asked for a Sauvignon. To...More

Unprepared I visited this place for lunch. I ordered 2 starters and the first starter with apple and Camembert cheese was delicious. My second starter was a foie gras, people who know me know that this is my favorite starter in France (or anywhere else...More

An expat (US) tour guide recommended I try this place and it did not disappoint. The baked goat cheese salad was so simple and yet surprisingly scrumptious while the sea bass managed to be both bright and savory at the same time. Service was warm...More

Went there as a group at the suggestion of our meeting sponsor - the waiter was quite entertaining as he joked with us all night, made us feel very welcome. The food was outstanding, the favorite was the chicken wok. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Description
Séraphin in Paris' 6th district in the well know quarter of Saint Germain de Près, sets out to recreate the atmosphere of an old fashioned delicatessen. The food represents France's past and future, mixing old recipes with modern ideas. Try the carrot and cumin mousse followed by a tuna steak flavoured with sesame and accompanied by tagliatelle and courgettes. Unlike the food the décor and atmosphere is resolutely old fashioned. Wooden furnishing and old objects from delicatessens are scattered throughout. Huge bay windows make the restaurant light and pleasant.
