Our first food experience in carcasonne and it was very welcoming and relaxing, mainly due to our lovely waitress who was very helpful and the food was lovely and brilliant value.

We dropped in for lunch on a couple of occasions, the first occasion we were seated upstairs in one of the booths and the second time we were seated downstairs which was pretty cramped. Judging by the conversations happening around us most people were locals. The food was good, a cassoulet for my husband and duck breast for me. The... More

Delicious food at a great price. 13.50 for a full meal (first, second and dessert). The foie salads were delicious, as well as the French onion soup. The duck was excellent however it only came with French fries. The cassoulet was also very tasty and a large serving. The desserts were homemade and delicious. Only complaints are that there is... Stopped here for lunch as it was getting a bit late but managed to get a table despite close to lunch service being over. Simple tavern located in square of old carcassonne City. Partner had pork chop and I had duck. Both served with chips and a carafe of wine. French onion soup to start of course, what else. Dessert... More

We couldn't eat a local cassoulet on such a hot September day but the salads and charcuterie platters were enjoyed by our group.

Arriving late in the afternoon to stay at Carcassonne, I tried this place out which is situated near a small square. It's quite a popular place and all the outside tables were filled up when I came. I tried the grilled sausage with fries and I found it delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive and overall I really enjoyed... More

Stopped in for lunch during our trip to the cite. Great cassoulet (non oily) and generous salads. Nice setting under the vines over looking a small square.

Carcassonne can get very expensive. This place is both good food and affordable. Try the cassoulet, local dish, if your coronaries are in good shape.

This is one of the nicest places I have ever eaten in, staff are amazing and the food is delicious, the atmosphere is perfect. It's located within the Old Walled City of Carasonne in the South of France, it's a really stunning location you can sit in side or eat out ,watching the world go by. It's a must visit... More
