Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Food amazing and they stayed open at lunchtime to accommodate us! We had the lamb shank and it just melted in the mouth. Excellent coffee too!

The restaurant offers a much broader range of dishes than many of the others in Nîmes. I had one of their specialities a potato pie which was topped with lamb pieces with honey and feta. Delicious! I saw a grilled squid dish on its way...to a nearby diner and was also envious. The staff are very professional. They have outdoor and indoor space. Treat yourself!More

We really enjoyed our lunch here today. I had the fish and OH had beef bourguignon. Lovely panacotta dessert, cheese platter and three glasses of wine for €51. Excellent value, good service, in a lovely setting. We will go back as the lamb pie looked...fabulous.More

The quality of restaurants in France has gone down so much over the past 20 or 30 years and it has become so difficult to find good French food nowadays. So many restaurants make zero effort to provide good food - chips with everything and...the same menu over and over again... Au Flan Coco has restored my faith somewhat. Good food, lovely garden setting and friendly and attentive staff. I have been a couple of times and will return again.More

Stellar service, transformative culinary delights and a fresh, relaxed atmosphere made our visit to this fine restaurant a highlight to our visit to Nîmes. The Chef of the kitchen is a master of the highest proportion. Thank you for such a revelatory experience.

We went to this restaurant as my aunt said it is a place where they serve a delicious Brandade de Morue (speciality of the city). She was right! We had a delicious starter (terrine de crabe et crevettes) and the very tasty Brandade de Morue....The wine was very good as well. The service was very professional and friendly. We will try the other dishes one day.More

We went for a dinner there one day. Restaurant was not fully packed, but waiters were too busy even to greet us. Still we have decided to have a dinner. Salad was big but quite messy, just a lot of green salad with foie gras...and viande sèche and no dressing at all. Côte de bœuf was good. With regards to desserts, soufflé glacé was too sweet, so it was hard to eat. The most disappointing thing was an atmosphere of the place, where waiters do not say you "thanks" when you pay and "good buy" when you leave. I'd rather recommend to try other places in the old city of Nîmes.More

Dinner was booked at 8pm on Easter Saturday at Au Flan Coco which is a large restaurant with an amazing arched ceiling. This was the best restaurant we visited during our trip to Nimes. Excellent refined food and service. The 3 course set menu was...delicious and amazing value- we had the 3 course set menu with a antipasti for starters, a la cote de boef grille (grilled beef ribs), and a melting chocolate pudding with raspberry sauce and whipped cream for €28. The other main course we had was the magret de canard (grilled duck breast) with honey and balsamic sauce which was soo delicous- one of the best duck dishes I’ve ever had! Portion size was generous- the cote de boef main was huge and the magret de canard separate main was also a good size. This restaurant was my favourite in the whole Provence trip. Service was good. Bread was replaced when finished, tap water also served. The wine selection was also good – we ordered a local red wine. Highly recommended! The rating should be higher as we tried other places with higher ratings but nowhere as good as Au Flan Coco.More
