We have eaten here a few times but honestly the service and quality of the food has really dropped in the last year. They've become too popular for their own good and lost any of the charm and personal touch they had initially. Despite having...a reservation we waited ages to be seated, then had to ask 3 times to ordrer drinks and it didnt get any better. We ordered whole fish grilled on the bbq but neither of them were cooked in the middle. We asked for an extra salad but it never arrived and then the waiter sprayed us and our food with cleaning product when he cleared the table next to us. Overall a pretty disappointing experience and I won't be going back :-(More

W e came here on our first night in Toulouse based on the recommendation of an artisan in Carcassone and what a decent recommendation it was! The restaurant is obviously aiming at a fairly trendy crowd but does it really well in our opinion. We...were here with our kids (aged 16 and 14) and the ambiance and friendly waiting staff made to feel welcome from the outset. The food was delivered at a nice pace (we noticed some people have complained about long service times times in previous reviews) and was really well done with generous portions…the smoked salmon starter was especially good. The prices are not the cheapest however we felt they were pretty much bang on for the experience that was delivered. Judging by how busy the restaurant was many in Toulouse are obviously in agreement. All in all this place is bang on and you can’t go far wrong if you want to escape the city centre for a relaxed but upmarket vibe…great stuff!!!!More

A cracking spot to have dinner. A nice open feel to the restaurant, with the food cooked on the wood fire in front of you. Great food (would recommend the Pork) with great service (waiter fluent in both French and English). A nice environment to...spend having dinner and drinks, for all ages. One to recommend. Will certainly return and be mention to anyone visiting Toulouse.More

Food was ok but their attitude was awful. Booked a table for 9 people at 22:00. Table wasn’t available until 22:45 and we are asked to wait outside. We are then told we have 15 minutes to order before the kitchen closes. No drinks or...even apologies for their terrible time management. They couldn’t care less. I would not go back.More

Very disappointed by my visit with a group of 10 colleagues. It took an hour and a half to get our mains . The manager did offer the first drinks for free but give a sly comment to my colleague about it. It's a shame...it's a nice setting. They are way under staffed and don't have a nice customer service. I will not be coming back.More

We went to this restaurant as it was next door to a wine exhibition in Toulouse. So it was a lunch visit and not many people in ( which was a surprise ) . The service was OK but a bit distant - the starter...was OK too and the wine list was quite small but adequate. In spite of there not being busy, our main course - cooked on the bar b q - arrived cold , and cold plate and the chips were cold . There was no one immediately to hand so the best thing was to eat it as quickly as possible . This was pity because the place can obviously cater for a lot of people and probably excels in the summer. The quality of the meat ( lamb) was ok and generous portions - all let down by being cold and not helped by cold plates and chips. We may give it another go in the summer , but a bit of a let down really.More

I was here 4 years ago and the move to the bigger space is brilliant. They have done a great job of creating an energetic and comfortable space. There is a mix of indoor and outdoor space with the big folding sun roof giving shade...and, in our instance protection from a torrential downpour. The grill is a big part of the restaurant both in terms of being in the middle of the space and with the food they serve. It was a great selection, generous servings. Staff are friendly and helpful. A tucked out of the way gem.More

I was there in time for the foodball match between France and Belgium. Restaurant was full. The food was ok (the veal bbq a little bit to raw), the wine served was Spanish (come to France to drink Spanish wine). It was rather hard to...get the service when you want it but somehow understandable because of the event. Not very friendly staff though. I would give it another try but in anneventless day.More

We booked the Rowing Club in Toulouse for a 50th birthday party celebration and the restaurant was marvellous. We asked for a punch and tapas to be served on arrival. We had this on the covered terrace overlooking the river which is heated in winter....The cocktail was served on ice in glass bottles and we were able to serve ourselves and be totally relaxed. The punch and tapas were delicious and the quantities generous. We then moved into the restaurant where we were served a great meal. We were a party of 23 and the team handled this brilliantly. The restaurant made two different birthday cakes which were lovely. The staff really looked after us and made us feel relaxed and at home -it couldn't have been better. I haven't written a review on Tripadvisor before but felt it was so good that I must do so this time!More

Restaurant with huge summer terrace by the Garonne river banks. Terrace is used in winter time with big sun sails and electric heaters. We tried this place in winter time and choose to seat by the chimney with real wood logs fire. The place is...very busy either for lunch or dinner. We highly recommend to book before. Service is really nice, informal and friendly. Food is plain, fresh food and really tasty. Oysters were fresh and excellent as well as grilled meat. My grilled Tuna slice looked like a T bone steak without the bone, Thick, grilled and pink in the middle. Sooo tender and tasty. Excellent local wines by the glass. The whole 2 dishes stuff for a little more than 40 € ... A place to be, preferably in summer by the river. Plenty of parking place before the swimming pool .More

Le Rowing is the restaurant of one of the tennis / Rowing clubs on l'île du Ramier in Toulouse. We turned up on a Sunday evening and the renown Michelin Star chef Michel Sarran was there so were confident of great food and it didn't...disappoint! The setting is fantastic, set on a terrace overlooking the river with retractable shading in the case of rain or too much sun. Excellent seafood and an open grill for the meat makes this a excellent must visit restaurant. Book to avoid disappointmentMore

A lovely ambiance with a riverside location. This restaurant is very new and is in the list of just do places for the trendy in Toulouse. The service is swift, professional and exceptional in Toulouse. The food is a mixture of Tapas and BBQ fresh...meat or fish cooked to perfection. Make sure you make a reservation if you go Thurs, Fri or Sat. Parking can be a challenge if going at a busy time. If you are use UBER. Enjoy :)More
