A business dinner but would love to go back socially The atmosphere was great starting with the Cocktail maison et Amuse-bouche The menu took us through the delights of Topinambour grille , Tartare de Maigre et glacé Pomme Wasabi , a classical Foie Gras de...Canard .. a choice of which I took Pied de Cochon Desosse rather than the fish and loved it and dessert was a Fondant aux Marrons I cannot think of many better dinners than this and it was all served with a friendly and very helpful manner I would not hesitate to go back and strongly recommend.More

Incomparable experience, outside in the garden along the riverbank. We all had the multi-course lobster menu with wine pairing - the first course of soup was stunning and everything else equally fine. Formal but still very friendly staff. Expensive, but a memorable evening well worth...the price.More

Would definitely recommend - perfect for meat eaters and non-meat eaters alike. We had a fantastic lunch here in a beautiful riverside setting. I had been wanting to try this restaurant for quite sometime after I saw that it had a vegan menu. It is...so difficult to find a good restaurant with delicious vegan options and I am tired of my only option on a menu being pasta or risotto or gnocchi! Finally!! somewhere that takes pride in all of it's menu and doesn't treat the vegetarian option as an after thought. The Menu Végétal was 55 euros and worth every penny! It consisted of an amuse bouch and 6 courses - Parmentier de Panais au Basilic Tartelette fine à la betterave et tofu Texture de Champignons et Cèpes Risotto de Butternut au Miso graines de Courge torréfiées Pré-dessert and finally Crêpe au Sarrasin et Pistache, Sorbet Coco et brunoise de Pamplemousse The last time I had such an array of fantastic vegan food was in Sichuan in China. My husband and niece had the unbelievably priced Menu du Marché. At 32 euros they enjoyed Fricassée de Cœurs de Canard et espuma aux Champignons, Foie gras de Canard au Coing for starters then they both had the Epaule de Daim confite à la Citronnelle for the main and finished with Autour de l’Hibiscus, pickels de Poire et Glace Vanille. We all agreed that the food was fantastic and very reasonably priced especially given the quality of the dishes.More

Beautiful location right next to the river Garonne with a huge space for outdoor seating. We ordered the degustation menu with the wine pairing which consisted out of about 8 different dishes: egg custard with mushroom, lobster soup, raw fish with herb sauce, Fois Gras,...half a lobster, cheeses, melon granite, biscuit with different fruit sauces. Everything was exceptionally delicious, waiters were fast and very attentive. At the end we even received a free shot of Rum. Overall a great experience.More

The toughest job was deciding on the star rating - but put simply the food was fabulous, the setting was amazing, the pace of the meal wonderfully leisurely (allow an evening) and the staff we cheery and keen. I would also recommend it to anyone...- a great evening. The service itself was not perfect and clearly this is an area they are working on (they either had new staff or it was a bit of an off night) but where there were bumps, they were apologetic and keen to learn. The restaurant has tasting menus from around €49 to €90 or so - we settled on a really good five course (with extras( at €79 including a fabulous creamy lobster soup, great venison, and a good foie gras course. Not perfect - but highly highly recommendedMore

We had a table for 4. During this evening we enjoyed a good selection of food and wine. An eightcourse meal with wine pairing. Lovely presentation, great taste and well-mannered staff. The restaurant is situated inside a lovely period house renovated to suit the restaurant...needs. The kerb appeal was not very appealing, but once on the restaurant grounds, you tent to forget the outdoors. One thing I would suggest improving is cleaning. We could not fail to notice dust collected on the modern hanging lamps, wall lights, indoor plants, and bulldog by the cloakroom on the first floor. The bathrooms were very clean and so did the kitchen as I did peep in. Other than that, it was a fantastic evening well spent.More

Me and my foodie friend from Tasmania are very fussy eaters in that we both appreciate brilliant food, great ingredients, skillfull Chefs, artistic talent that plays with your taste buds, and Au Pois Gourmnand has it in abundance, its is an AWESOME restaurant in a...stunning location right by the Garonne. We were a little surprised when our Uber driver said is was expensive and not very good!!!!! IGNORE TAXI DRIVERS this one was COMPLETELY WRONG, its an ACE place to eat. This meal was the 2nd in a three day eating extravaganza, we had already done night one which was amazing, and now night 2 was in front of us. During the day we had debated which menu to choose, it was a no brainer, The Lobster & Lobster Tasting menu with wine flight, yum. Service was friendly and welcoming, the Sommelier was the most enthusiastic we had ever met, talk about passion for wines, he had it in abundance so onto the dinner, we were both excited and expecting great things. We had one of my favourites as an Aperitif, Floc de Gascogne, a fortified wine made of Armagnac and Grape Juice, very tasty. So, along comes Liège of Langouste and Langoutine, in a lovely white porcelain cup, with a dusting of Piment D’Espelette, an ingredient I am very familiar with as it comes from a small number of villages in the Basque region of France, a Red Pepper, that is dried in the sun and ground, used as a condiment, or whole in stews, I have some at home in my spice cupboard! This was a subtle but very rich first course, the palate was going ping pong always a good sign, delish. Course no.2 was BOOOOOOM delicious, knockout and very very tasty indeed…. (Just Saying!). Gambas and Lobster Tartare, Carrot & Citrus Vinaigrette, Puffed Quinoa…. It was just amazing, delicate flesh of the prawn and lobster, which was soft and giving, the Vinaigrette was delicious and the crisp Quinoa grains adding some subtle texture, it was brilliant and I would have had a second serving! What next we discussed, being so happy with the first few courses we sat watching the Garonne, discussing if it was maybe a bit tidal as it appeared to be heading in the wrong direction! Another shocker (positive not bad), Big Breaded Langoustine with Puffed Rind, White Chocolate-Yuzu Cream and its Juice. Was I miss-reading the menu, white chocolate and YUZU, a Japanese Citrus fruit, a bit (bit Not) like Lemon…….. I had to look again at the menu and then tuck in, another BOOOOOOOM moment, it was stunning, perfectly balanced, almost sweet and sour, but in a different way, this Chef is VERY clever with matching flavours….. AWESOME. So lets have a Half Lobster, roasted with Asparagus, Girolles Fricassee and New Pink Garlic Siphon….. slightly more conventional this course but equally delicious. During the courses we had enjoyed glasses of Coup DE Gueule, Vin de Lune, a very nice l’Eden des Serenes from Limousine, where the famous Cremante is made, the ‘original’ champagne (google the story its fascinating, I have visited the town and one of the original vinery’s).. Onto Pre- Dessert, a ‘charcoal’ and Lime with cream delight which really settled and cleansed the palate ready for the final course, “Surprise” Exotic Chocolate and Passion Sauce, it finished the evening beautifully. Au Pois Gourmand was a brilliant restaurant, relaxed service, awesome food, peaceful setting and yes I would recommend it and yes I would go back and eat again here given the choice, it was AMAZING…… take a detour and try it.More

Book well in advance and you will not be disappointed. A beautiful setting even at night, although I would have loved to seen the surrounds during the day. The food was superb and staff very efficient and friendly. Although we couldn’t speak French and most...weren’t strong in English they made a very good effort to make sure we understood each dish and our wine. It was a delicious meal that presented beautifully. The quail was the highlight of the dishes but dessert and the little after desert Petit fores were also a highlight. If you are visiting Toulouse it’s worth the visit and for a Michelin restaurant prices were reasonable.More

This afternoon we had a perfect lunch in the garden of restaurant Au Pois Gourmand in Toulouse with view on the river the Garonne. The Staff is amazing, friendly, smiling, quick, thoughtful and good. The lady sommelier very good. The terrace is very nice with...enough space between the tables. The staff is wearing masks which we appreciated a lot. Of course we understand it is not very comfortable to work with. The food was beautiful served and tasted very nice and special. Even the vegetarian menu was delicious and looked beautiful. Our compliments as well for the Chef in the kitchen and his Staff. Thank you for this superb lunch in a perfect surrounding. We only have one recommendation. Could you please create a bathroom more. One is to less for all the quests! This was our only disappointment.More
