Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing restaurant; fantastic service; innovative food and drinks; gorgeous 13th century architecture. Would highly recommend.

We had a two week visit to Toulouse and this was absolutely my favorite restaurant. It is indeed a cave but relatively spacious. It is definitely off the main streets but was not difficult to find. There were eight of us and we had a...wonderful time. The wine was superb, regional, and very nicely priced. We all had the fixed price three course menu. My main course was the cassoulet and it was the best I’ve ever had. Just a wonderful evening with very attentive staff. Highly recommended.More

At first we enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant which was soon shattered by the arrival of the waiter. He seemed quite surprised that we wanted to order a la carte instead of the fixed price menu. He was quite rude and even made...comments to the nearby tables. It was embarrassing and hardly how I expected our experience to begin. Unfortunately it did not improve when the food came. The portions were very small and the taste was ok but nothing special. Most of the meals we'd enjoyed earlier in the countryside were better. The waiter brought the dessert menu but never returned to take the order. We left and had a great dessert somewhere else. Not impressed.More

Great Lunch, we had the beef with the potato pure, a bottle of champagne and for dessert a semifreddo, beautiful location downtown Toulouse.

I went to lunch which is a great deal. It was fun to walk around the area and then head into the small side street and down to the caves. The service was beyond lovely. Very classic French meals which are a bit rich but...good.More

The cave is nice, larger than others so plenty of space. We were a party of 10 and enjoyed every single minute of the experience thanks to our waiter; he was hilarious and made the evening unforgettable. He was ready with excellent suggestions. The food...was great, superb foie gras, cassoulet, dessert. Very good wine from the region. The place is centrally located, a few meters from Capitole. The quality has a price, but is worth it. It is a must in Toulouse.More

Underground French fine dining with pianist and great service. The beef main course was delicious, the veal over cooked but the rest very nice. Les Caves de la Maréchale makes a memorable night out in Toulouse.

Wow - the food was amazing. We accidentally found this place, it's in a small alley through a courtyard and downstairs in a really cool cave. The food was as beautiful as it was delicious. It's not cheap, but not too expensive. Far cheaper than...a similar meal in the U.S.. It wasn't crowded - I think a lot of people don't find this place. We were with a group of 6 and everyone raved about their meals. You can't go wrong - everything is excellent.More

Two friends and I were trying to find a place to eat for our last evening in toulouse and came across this restaurant online. I am so glad we did as it is hidden away we would not have stopped to check it out if...not. We were treated by the most friendly staff, and the manager even provided us a complimentary champagne cocktail which was delicious. On arrival you are greeted with a duck mouse and delicious little bread balls and a baguette which were divine. The setting is second to none - so gorgeous, like nowhere I’ve been before. The food was exceptional and the presentation was gorgeous. Highly recommend and would return in a heart beat! Merci beucoup!More

This is the best restaurant I have eaten in this year and I eat out a lot ! The underground ambiance is impressive and the level of service is world class. The food is equally high quality and the veal starter was amazing. The wine...was not over priced either with a range to suit all budgets. In fact in the very centre of Toulouse this is exceptional value for money and a memorable gastronomic experience.. Be sure to book well in advance...More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel but otherwise we would never have found it. The cellar is quite large and was busy but the tables are well separated so the atmosphere was good with a pleasant buzz of conversation. The lapin and the cassoulet...were very good as was the service. Worth a visit.More
