We have been suggested this place by a local of Toulouse and we were very glad we came. As we do not speak french we also glad that we found that the waiter speak english and they also had an english menu :) We took the set menu of 23 euro each which included the famous casserole and this was... Restaurant in a cellar very well known for its cassoulet. We've been there in a group of 7 people. We all choose the menu "421"with Foie Gras, Cassoulet and a dessert. EXCELLENT ! especially for 27 €uros. The same for the verry attractive prices of the wines. Do not hesitate to choose a local wine like Fronton or Buzet. Local... More

You need to book at this cellar restaurant, and we ordered the Cassoulet (why wouldn't you?). It was a big steaming pot of typical cassoulet, a good hearty meal of tasty stew. Good place

We were a group having dinner and some of us saw all the scene that Bellone wrote in the previous post. THE COOK SPIT ON A PLATE!!!!! Also they treat us very rude,it was unacceptable. The worse experience in a restaurant. I suggest to do a sanitary inspection.

On recommendation of a good colleague, I reserved a table on this highly recommended restaurant at trip advisor. The friendly staff let us sit close to the kitchen upon our request and the atmosphere was good. We were about to order, when one of the kitchen staff grabbed two plates with dessert from the working bench, turning to walk out... More

Booked for 3 of us, myself wife and son, for our last night in Toulouse. Wanted traditional meal and not disappointed. Downstairs in a cool cellar room, friendly and attentive staff, good variety of set menu options. Foie gras starter and cassoulet main were absolutely stunning. Highlight was 5yr old son's €8 steak, dauphinois pots and veg. Highly recommend, but... More

It would be wrong to come to Toulouse and not have cassoulet. This place is in a cellar down a street with plenty of restaurants. My wife picked a 3 course menu at less than 15 francs. Amazing value. I went for the a la carte with a salad starter and then the house special cassoulet. Excellent duck sausage and... More

Read the reviews on here and they were all correct. They open for dinner from 7.45pm to 10.30pm. We rang as they opened and reserved a table. Thank goodness we did as they turned away at least five couples while we were there. Restaurant is downstairs in a cave like setting. Would be too hot at height of summer I... More

Went here with my bro and the cassoulet is excellent and a great place to taste the Toulouse cuisine. Place is a cave in a lower ground and it has charm, character and a good vibe. When we went it was pretty much full! Other delicacies include canard (duck) in many cuisine varieties and foie gras and pate. Great authentic... More

After a disappointing fine-dining experience st Les jardins de l'opera, this restored our faith in regional cooking. Short, simple menus of mainly foie gras, cassoulet, duck and a few other choices, with decent good-value wines and a selection of authentic puds, all in a cosy basement caveat. Pleasant, appreciative service and a bloke in the kitchen who knows what he's... More
