I came in this restaurant randomly and this was a good surprize. There is a good choice in the menu and the local dish I selected was really good. Also service was quick and nice.

I went to Le Meunier in Lille weekday afternoon for a quick lunch. I choose the coucroute (cabbage) with meat and was not disappointed. A large portion, fresh, and very friendly service, also provided a English menu (of a kind). Fast service, I was greeted and got a friendly bye, which is rare in English middle price restaurants. The food... More

Visited here for a Sunday lunch. It was warm and welcoming and the food very French, traditional and filling. I had a local stew and it was delicious, it really hit the spot on a cold day. The menu was varied and catered to many tastes. Very centrally located, just beside the railway station.

We are always looking for places where other tourists pass by, and especially, where no Dutch are to be found. This is one of the typical brasseries where French meet French, where fresh raw meat is treated, served and eaten as it should: with respect and hunger, when it tastes o so good. But all the rest in this brasserie... More

We had dinner with 3 and had the impression we were on a group travel. The service was friendly but the food was mediocre as was the ambiance. The best word perhaps is 'correct'. Not more. There are much better places around, in our experience.

We'd looked forward to eating here as my husband had seen the good reviews on Trip Advisor. Sadly it was a bit of a disappointment. We chose a named wine, but it was brought to the table in a pichet - it could have been any old wine and, to be frank, it tasted like it too. The food was... More

In Lille on the market weekend meant a lot of mussels eaten. Probably due to this they were well over cooked at this restaurant. Not much flavour and to over cooked. Waiter was great and very helpful. Would not recommend this place for mussels. Maybe next time go on an ordinary weekend and see if they are better.

Went in there as it was the first place I passed on a Sunday evening wandering into town. The welcome was warm, the beer was cold and very tasty and the food was great. Would recommend to anyone!! :-)

Read a few reviews about this restaurant and thought I'd give it a whirl with the wife. We are so glad we did. The food was brilliant and plentiful, the service was great and the price even better. Lovely place. Definitely worth trying whilst in Lille.

A very traditional French 'brasserie' in the middle of town, basically a bar with restaurant capability. We had the menu du jour. We were very pleasantly surprized by original and tasty dishes for a fantastic low price, 30 euros a head including a bottle of nice red wine, a big bottle of water and a coffee (exceptionally good by french...
