Reserved table just two hours ahead. Got a nice table. Were impressed by the good service and relaxed atmosphere. The food was excellent and not expensive. Ask for a table at the window or on the terrace.

Only stopped for coffee - which they were happy with even though it was at about lunch time. Friendly staff. Nice place to sit on the terrace by the river. The terrace had heaters mounted on the wall which kept the tables warm on one side although we didn't notice any heat as we sat by the river side of... More

We ate at noon, it was very busy but a highly efficient and friendly waiter assured us it would only be a short wait. Within five minutes we were seated at a table with a view of the river. We saw a meal delivered to an adjacent table and upon learning it was a galette we ordered one for each... More

We managed to get a table without a reservation, but might have had a long wait despite the large number of tables. The menu is interesting, the food tasty and filling.

It doesn't get much better than a summer lunch on the canal here. Order a Galette (a traditional Normandy savory crepe) with a glass of local cider and enjoy!

We had been to see the Tapestry and found this very nearby. I fully expected a tourist rip-off but the staff were generally friendly and helpful. We stuck to galettes and crepes with a very potable cider (when in Normandy etc!). The food and drink were excellent and the prices not at all bad

A little searching is needed to find this gem tucked down a narrow alley but persevere, you will not be disappointed. We were greeted warmly and shown a small table inside despite that we didn't have a reservation on a very busy night. We shared a carafe of local cider to enjoy with our huge galettes. My husband's had ham,... More

Do visit Le moulin de la galette for best galettes in Bayeux, in a great riverside location, outdoors in summer or if it's sunny! Et bon appétit!

It was a little cool and damp when we visited, so we stuck with crepes and hot beverages. All we ordered was very good. Service was good as well. Sitting by the canal in better weather would be excellent.

Charming restaurant on a sunny quiet terrasse along the river. Direct in front of the Tapestry Museum, close to the cathedral and the historical town center.
