We noticed this little restaurant near where we were staying the old part of Aix. It was always packed and the menu looked really interesting so we got a reservation for that night and are thrilled that we did. The chefs use as many local ingredients as possible. We chose the asparagus soup with aioli, parmesan, prosciutto and topped with... More

I turned on spec on my own on my bike on my birthday. Just me myself and a lovely bottle of red. Food an wine recommended by the waitress. Nothing for me to do, but relax and enjoy the food and ambience. A 47th birthday treat to remember

My husband and I went to dinner at this tiny restaurant on a recommendation. MAKE A RESERVATION. Due to the small size of the restaurant a reservation is a must! We sat at a table for two... the servers were very friendly and welcoming and even went over the entire specials menu for us in English. Our first course was... More

We turned up without a reservation, but staff managed to find us a table. Cosy restaurant serving provincial meals. We both had beef dishes..grilled beef and beef Rossini. Both meals outstanding. Came with lovely mashed potatoes and a mix of vegetables. Steaks cooked medium rare - perfect. Staff were very helpful in advising us of the contents of the menu... More

Quirky little restaurant with friendly helpful staff. The food was to die for, one of the best meals I've had. Their home made fois gras is perfect.

They squeezed us in when we turned up on spec on a busy Friday night. Parma ham with rocket was followed by delicious Marseille sausages with perfectly smooth mash. My friend's starter of a stew of artichokes with vegetables and garlic was an unexpected winner. Service not the quickest, but friendly and attentive. Would definitely return.

Husband had read about Provençal traditional cooking and decided he wanted to try ‘pieds et paquets,’ the traditional stew of sheep’s feet and tripe. We hadn’t seen it on any menus we looked at in our walking around, so we asked at the hotel desk. The clerk there seemed not to have ever heard of it, but was game to... More

3 of us had a fantastic dinner here - their signature lamb dish and a heavenly veal entree. We started with maybe the finest 'salad' ever of partially cooked carrots, arugula, and an orange glaze. All of us loved every bite. We had reservations at 7:00 and chose to eat outside. This is a SMALL restaurant that fills quickly and... More

My husband meal arrived with raw beef, sent back and I had completely finished my meal when it was returned. They seemed to be punishing him for daring to return anything. I had lasagne which was mainly pasta, hardly any meat, also salad was just lettuce leaves and a few slices of carrot nothing else. All in all a big... More

Similar experience to previous reviewer over seating. Sat outside waiter went to get menu another waiter (manager) came and asked if we had a reservation. No. Then told had to eat inside. Seated next to hot kitchen. Another couple who came later and were sat next to us were informed in English that an outside table was found for if... More
