Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A lovely spot for a family meal out. Good service. Limited menu and wine list, which were all good value for the quality. A great atmosphere and in a beautiful side street in Old Nice. Must make a reservation - we called in 2 days...before rather than phone.More

The restaurant is on a side street so you don’t get lots of foot traffic passing by which makes for a relaxing experience if you’re sitting out on the terrace. The food is amazing - a limited menu of regional dishes but everything cooked to...perfection and absolutely delicious. The chips are legendary! The wine by the carafe is cheap (for Nice) and is really good quality. Service is very friendly and efficient. It was so good that we returned for lunch on our last day in Nice and they remembered us!More

Fantastic service, very attentive and friendly. Very good and well made traditional food and extremely good value for money. Big portions. Try it. You will not be disappointed. Avoid the lowcost Bellet wine and go for something else.

While sitting on a bench at the shorefront in Nice, we got to talking with a man sitting next to us. We enjoyed our conversation so much we invited him to join us for dinner. As he was a local, we deferred to him to...decide where to go. He was a long-time customer at this restaurant and greeted the waitress there as if she was an old friend. We had a very good meal in a very relaxing environment. I had the ravioli. Our new friend had beef tartare. My wife had lamb. It was all good – tasty, fresh food. She recommended a bottle of wine and I succumbed to imbibing, when I normally don’t, as it was too late to do anything but sleep after the meal. It was a surprisingly good wine. We even took pictures of the label so I could procure it when I returned home. We were all very happy when we left the restaurant and the meal cemented a burgeoning friendship. In fact, that friendship blossomed even more when we had to return to Nice after our rental car was broken into by the Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi just south of Turin. He helped us when we had to go the ER in Nice to get prescriptions for medicines and a replacement portable oxygen concentrator and other good deeds. We took him back to another meal at La Table Alziari and we were in such a good mood this time we had two bottles of that wine and desserts. Who cares what the food was like. Well, it was good. We were fast becoming the waitress’ favorite customers. Nothing is better than a good meal among friends. If we return to Nice, as I hope we will, we will sojourn there again with our new friend. Next time, three bottles.More

Lovely home cooked nicoise food served by friendly and helpful waiters. We had a superb evening and the chef brought out our main course and came to chat with us at the end.

Very poor food. Aubergine starter was cold and very disappointing. The veal main course was veal fat and stuffing and very little veal. Who else got the veal??? Service was quite average and no ambience. Other great places to try instead.

Dinner was like a warm hug. Imagine that your French grandmother invited you over and made Daube d’agneau (lamb in red wine sauce with carrots and mushrooms served with homemade pasta) and The Best Olive Oil. For dessert she brings tarte tatin (apple tarte) with...crème fraiche that is beyond anything you imagine. The tartness of the crème fraiche cut the sweetness of the tarte and it was perfect. It was so yummy I got a little emotional talking to the server about it so she gave me a big hug. She said it happens to a lot of people. Afterward, the chef came out to discuss the tart with me. The approach comes from Normandy, not Nice. He described how it is prepared. It seems like there is a lot of trial and error in perfecting it since he mentioned ‘looking’ and ‘smelling’ several times in the description of the process. The staff were delightful, warm people. Their English was much better than my French. And the food was heart warming and delicious.More

We love this restaurant. The service and food are always impeccable. On this visit I had the terrine and my partner the fried courgette flowers, both lovely. Mains for the 2 of us were the Daube Niçoise, made from lamb (well, mutton really and all...the better for that) with pasta and a dessert of tarte tatin. Overall, a splendid meal!More

Cosy place in the old town, it can be considered a hidden gem - it is hidden, but almost a gem. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for its size; the owner was charming and made me a reservation while off duty. Some reviews mention...the rude staff, and I have an idea to whom they might be referring, and ill say they're acting like every Gen-Z, while the other one was just amazing. That “rude” behaviour to a cultural thing and nothing else. Food, on the other hand, was just ok for me; great starter and decent main but nothing to write home about. My partner was pleased with their main, and we agreed that four stars are just right. Prices are very reasonable for the area and food served.More

This is truly a locals spot. We were the only non-French people in the place. You had better know your French dishes or you will have to ask a lot of questions. Everything as delicious and the pricing was very fair. We enjoyed the atmosphere...and the location - in Old Town Nice (the only place to eat in Nice). Make a reservation for outside. Enjoy!More

The waitress has annoying attitude with poker face toward tourists who seems not speck French, to the local people they behave nice just because those are often to visit. The food is under expectations , the beaf is too chewy to eat and lamb is...blend. Not recommend to tourists, the experience makes people feel like going to a place where doesn’t welcome you at all.More

Here’s my honest review, the whole experience was okay but not spectacular.. food starters were delicious, the main course lacked a bit of taste.. the wine was plenty and makes the mood lighter.. the service was natural good, nothing out of the ordinary.. prices were...in accordance to the prices of the city in general.. the location is very good though, very cosy seating, surrounded with locals..More
