Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We booked a table for 8 just hrs before. We were lucky to get a big table at short notice. We were seated on a lovely round table in the middle of the restaurant. The staff were friendly and fun. We tried frogs legs and...snails and enjoyed these very much. The lamb shank was also absolutely delicious. The dessert selection was also very good. Would highly recommend.More

The food came out quick, everything taste amazing. The frogs legs were bigger than I thought they would be which was a nice surprise. Service was also great. The restaurant had a lovely local feel also, it didn’t feel like a tourist spot the staff...seemed to know people coming in which is a good sign. I would 100% come back and recommendMore

We browsed the internet to find a recommended restaurant and Le Frog kept popping up. We booked online and were given a good table on arrival, a busy place, large groups and couples were eating whilst we were there. We had a very friendly waiter...who served us quickly and efficiently. The menu was varied with very reasonable prices and the wine list was equally full of choice. The food itself was lovely, good portion sizes and we really enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. We would definitely return if in Nice in the future and recommend this place for others to try.More

We visited based on recommendations from our hotel staff. The food was delicious and the restaurant itself is a quiet spot. The service was lovely and the staff was attentive and friendly.

We had so much fun with our server, Bertrand. He was extremely attentive to us (I only speak a little French). I am gluten free so he made my dinner selection-- risotto with fresh vegetables. The large asparagus made it really good and satisfying! My...husband had fish and pommes frites with a side of local/homemade mustard. He had to ask for more mustard because it was so good! He also had creme brulee for the first time and I'm sure he'll never have any as good as this. It's been a year since we were there (this review is long overdue) and it seems like yesterday. It was memorable!!More

Le Frog is a small restaurant near the flower market that has tables outside in the summer but in winter has a chilled space inside. The service is just right, friendly and efficient, and the food is excellent. They have one vegetarian main course which...unlike many of the more upmarket restaurants in Nice means vegetarians are able to eat there. A bonus is that there is a wide range of wine and the (very good) house wines are only €21 for a bottle, a relative bargain compared to prices in comparable restaurants. Now there is a vegetarian option on the menu we go to Le Frog every time we are in Nice and are never disappointed, one of the better restaurants in the city.More

We ate at this place two nights running as the food was so good. It’s not cheap but it’s worth every cent. My fried octopus with capers and pickled ginger was particularly memorable. The staff were efficient and friendly.

The staff are just simply rude. We visited this spot in October 2023 as we wanted to try frog legs. Long story short, when we gave our order the man serving us rolled his eyes and couldn't believe that we didn't want anything else. The...frog legs costed 20 euros anyway so they weren't cheap and we would have been in and out of there. We felt so unwelcome and were forced into a takeout (which was fine as the vibe was dead) but it could have been executed in a more friendly manner. They were rude from the second we walked in and if they said in a lot nicer I wouldn't have been writing this review. I'd avoid and find another spot that does French cuisine. Forget the expensive menu and rude attitude, we didn't even get our drinks order either.More

Lovely and can't fault the food at all. It was perfect, particularly with the view of the Divo Francisco Paula Charitas church facade lit up outside. The 'filet de boeuf' was delicious! Marked down a star because of the price and a slightly impatient waiter.

Very solid food. Nice location on a quiet street but very close to the square and the promenade. Service was good. We were able to walk in and get seated without a reservation

We had a fantastic time here; the food was amazing, and our waiter on the night was amazing and very warm and friendly. Nothing was too much hassle for them and that made for an exceptional evening. The restaurant is just off the main area...around the Opera house, well worth a visit and will definitely go back if we are ever in Nice again.More

We went twice. The first time on a Thursday it was excellent. The food (rib steak and John Dory fish) was superb, the waiters excellent, the experience great. However, come Sunday when it was busy, was very different. We’d booked but we’re made to wait...outside for a table, the rib steak was tough, chewy and not cooked to medium like requested, the waiters were distracted and borderline rude and the little touches that made it superb four nights earlier were missing. And the chef paraded through the restaurant like he was Michelin starred. Wouldn’t go back.More
