We happened on this cafe as we were looking for a lunch spot. The fresh seafood drew us in. I had mussels and frites. Awesome. Among the best mussels I have ever had - small, sweet. Others at the restaurant had lots of seafood towers...which looked impressive. People cleaned their plates. An excellent seafood restaurant.More

Just dropped in with no reservation, seated quickly and ordered. Food was brilliant- the veal in mushroom sauce was exceptional with the veal being melt in the mouth. Pasta with salmon and zucchini for my wife was also very good. Portions were of good size....Had a bottle of champagne that cost a mere €26 - can’t buy it in supermarkets for that price. Excellent food and excellent value. Would definitely recommend.More

This spot is great to sample local seafood. Service is friendly and prompt, and prices are reasonable. It is a great place for couples and even groups of friends.

We stumbled on the Cafe de Turin after a rainy morning at the Museum of Modern Art. My husband loves oysters and these were excellent. I had a bowl of soup and frites and enjoyed them. Later, several locals recommended Turin to us. If you...like fish, this is the place for you.More

Fantastic place. Great staff. Amazing food! Outstanding variety! We tried their Le Garibaldi avec fines roumegous no 2. We also ordered a number of sides including Lobster soup, fritters, mackerel and so on. Everything was amazing.

Disappointing. Two locals recommended it. We like seafood but not necessarily oysters which seems to be their big thing. It's a seafood place. Not much else. So we ordered tempura shrimp......tinies shrimp I have ever seen inside a slightly undercooked batter. There is a lack...of anything else here - a few fries, no salads to go with meals.....just boring. It's an uninviting place and seems to not be very well cared for. Service is lackadaisical - not friendly, helpful or cheerful. Bit disappointment.More

The best place in Nice for oysters and seafood plateaus. It has been around for a while and has been mentioned in many books. The special ambiance is hard to get somewhere else. Always a must when in Nice.

Unpretentious restaurant. We sat outside by the sidewalk. The food was fabulous. The seafood, the bread. Service was excellent (the owner/manager was always present). But you really go here for the food. Simple, very tasty, reasonable. We went here twice in 3 days.

Stopped for lunch on a busy rainy day. Crowded space inside but great mussels and beignets des fleurs de courgette. Good, cold pitcher du vin to go with the meal. Funny, friendly server.

Went to Nice for a short vacation. The hotel recommended this restaurant if we wanted to have fresh seafood. The wait for dinner is about 40min, I would say that reasonable considering the many people waiting for a table. Service not that great, waiter definitely...very rude but I guess you cannot expect fine dining service here. The seafood, fresh but definitely overpriced. shrimps and clams were pretty good. However, the oysters were a bit disappointment!!!!!! We tried the most expensive ones... I would say that Boccaccio has much better oysters than cafe the Turin (but slightly more expensive) Overall, you can find better restaurants offering better foodMore

A friend recommended this place, so I found someone keen enough to try this place with me. He ordered the tuna steak with a creamy garlic sauce, which was one of the “chef’s suggestions”. Apparently it was yummy, like pork chop. Lol. I had the...elaborate seafood platter, with fresh oysters from the farm Rougémous. The highlights for me were the oysters (first and foremost!), and then the prawns, mussels and clams. The smaller items I didn’t care much for. We had a simple rosé to complement our meal. Highly recommended!More
