Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We fell on this tiny (20 covers max) place for lunch ......... find your way there before hoards of travelers come off the Ligne 2 tram! Small menu, Malagasy food, most pleasant staff, ridiculously inexpensive! Seek it out for a change from the more usual...fare in Nice,More

I found this small restaurant while staying in a hotel near the airport, after a 20 min walk. Very quit neighborhood, quite small restaurant with 20 seats, could use ahand of a good decorator. Maybe that is not the greatest skill of the owner, but...cooking certainly is. He prepares very savourish dishes from Madagascar. Spiced with numerous unnamable tasts that give an exotic harmony in flavour. Defenitely worth a try. I went there twice and it will not be the last time.More

I spotted this place up a side street while looking for somewhere to eat on the Monday before Christmas. Everywhere else I'd planned to eat was closed and it looked cosy and even though it was empty I thought it smelled good. I'm really glad...I stopped. I chose a Madagascan lamb curry from the specials board, which was delicious. The owner was really friendly and after my meal, gave me a special rum marinaded with fruit. I raved about it so much when I got home that my husband now demands to be taken when we are next in Nice!!More

I found this restaurant on Google as a place where locals eat. It is a Mediterranean style restaurant that is quite small as it only has about 6 table seating a total of maybe 20 people so get there early if you want a spot....One man works the entire place alone as the kitchen does it's thing. He presents the menu on a chalk board and the food and drinks come out collectively. All tables receive their drinks at the same time, their apps at the same time, etc. The food is fresh and absolutely to die for as you can tell it is home cooked. The coco poulet is tender and full of flavor along with the curry poulet (chicken). The food is also reasonably priced considering the location (being on the French RIviera). My curry chicken was 12,50 euros and our samosa appetizer was 9 euros. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you get the chance.More

Certainly off the main road, the owner is very friendly and helpful. A small place with limited seating, it was nearly full at lunch, with a great spice aroma permeating the air. The daily special I had was pork, while my wife had the curry...chicken. Both were very good. A nice bottle of white wine at €18.50 accompanied. Total for two with the wine and water totaled €47.More

Tiny restaurant tucked on a side street. Very friendly owner. Tasty food and generous portions. The Romazava was good, the chilli paste is home made and fiery and since it's served separately it can be added as pleased. So no reason not to try it....Overall very good, prices for mains are in line with other restaurants. A nice find to go back to when you want to be taken back to the isles the time of a meal.More

A tiny, dark, back street cafe/rest. The Staff were very pleasant. The food was fair to good, but NOT spicy. I probably would not go again.

My father and I are staying in the La Californie district in Nice and we were strapped for places to eat without taking the bus into the city center. We found this place on TripAdvisor and were extremely pleased with our meal there! The owner...and his wife cook everything in the intimate restaurant that seats around 30 or so. Very good food and GREAT drinks! A little spicy, but goes with the cuisine. I actually asked for more spice--but I enjoy very hot food. DEFINITELY SUGGEST TRYING THIS RESTAURANT!More
