We weren't sure about this restaurant, but it turned out to be a great find. The food is basic, rustic, French food, and its superb. I'd highly recommend the Soupe de Poussins. (I'm sure I've spelled that wrong). The wine was also excellent. The service was really friendly, we had a lovely waiter, who was friendly and cheeky and made... More

My hubbie and I ate here tonight while on an anniversary holiday in France. Good wholesome home made food. Service with a smile and even an offer of a free rum drink on the house! Lasagne was excellent €18 for 3 course meal. Would highly recommend as a small comfortable restaurant

We (family of 4) all ordered the same: entrecote steak MEDIUM done with some sauce fries+salad. Simple order nothing else but drinks. After half hour it arrived. 2 medium, 2 totally well-done. We asked a nearby waiter and he replied he would change 2 steaks. After another 30min we asked another waitor what was the status and he said that... More

Cool and darkish inside, I ate alone. Freshly fried squid, then a huge piece of lasagne which I just couldn't finish and felt bad handing it back to the puzzled waiter.Unusually enough for a young man, he didn't speak any English. Perhaps he thought that the meat didn't suit me,after I'd checked that it wasn't horse! The price included dessert,... More

Four for Thursday lunch, had the three course 18 euro menu...Starters of warm goats cheese salad, and Spanish Moules Farci, mains of whole sea bass and a great vegetarian pizza, finished with Creme Brûlée, and Tarte Tatin. Small niggle, why oh why abandon the pichets/ carafes of wine...almost everyone in the rather full Restaurant declined a bottle of wine at... More

We went to this restaurant last time we were in St Raphael and to be honest we umm-ed and ahhh-ed about whether to go back. The food was good but the service decidedly lacking (the woman serving wasn't really interested at all) but we decided to give it another go. This time (3 years later) a young man was waiting... 30years ago this restaurant was superb, and visited it many times, but it has deteriorated so badly. I had the mediocre fish soup, followed by pizza royals, and my wife had the salad nicoise that was good, but then had spaghetti royale, which was tasteless, as was my pizza. Not worth a second visit! Great pity, it was so good!

Cozy, good food, energetic owners, preferred by locals. We have had lunch here several times and it is always quite good. Small dining room but comfortable and away from the tourists cruising up and down the harbor front.
