We did not like the noisy music and felt that indoors too many tables had been crammed in. The "daube" with gnocchi was lovely but the salads were by far too vinegary with not enough oil. Apart from the Danube much of the menu was good average.

After 4 holidays in Vence (and many restauant visits) we have decided that this is beyond doubt the best restaurant in Vence! The food is absolutely delicious, the atmosphere is wonderful and the staff is friendly and serviceminded. The prices are more than reasonable and this is definitely our first choice of restaurants when in Vence. Can't wait to be... More

My husband and I had lunch here on our first day in Vence. We both had salads and shared a couple of pichets of rose. Both salads were large and delicious. Total bill was less than $40. It was a perfect starting off point for our trip.

We had a lovely, freshly made pizza in Taverne St Veran. It is a busy little place with big tables filled out with couples and families. Along with good 'pichet' of rise wine and tasty ice cream this restaurant is good value with pleasant service, if a little swift.

This small restaurant can be relied on to provide excellent food, typically French cuisine, cooked in kitchen in a corner of the restaurant which diners can see. Delicious and varied menu.

This place looked a bit modest and there were many families with children but we decided to give it a go because of the menu. Absolutely great decision. Everything we had was delicious (salad, frog legs, meat) . And the service was friendly and attentive.

My husband Had the most wonderful mussels by the bucket load and I had the salad de Berger which was also very good. Ambiance is typically on street in the quaint square and service was attentive. Enjoy!

We enjoyed the pizza cooked in a brick oven. It was surprisingly good with a crispy think crust. We also had the steak tartare which was delicious and fresh. The service was good and the food was served fast. They did not rush you but you were not trapped for two hours due to slow service. I would suggest you... More

We've been coming to Vence for 4 years and this is one of our favourites for a no frills, simple lunch situation. We tend to go here a few times for a quick pizza during the course of a fortnight away. I can't comment on the other parts of the menu but the pizza we have at lunchtime is great.... More
