We chose Le Muratore for lunch based on its excellent displayed menu and the location. I had the Dauphinē Ravioles and Friccassee Des Perches. Fantastic food served in a timely way in an excellent setting. I noted the Michelin appellation as we left and through...it was well deserved! To the “tourist” who felt unloved here, you’re probably unwelcome wherever you go and you belong in McDonalds. This place is there for good food served well in a good environment. You’ve done it well for 150 years and deserve to go for another 150 years!More

Had the three-course menu, which offered great value for money. Particularly the appetizer with deep-fried Abondance (local cheese) and a salad was excellent.

The tables on the terrace were very appealing, with views on the old streets and the trees. I went outside at the dessert, as it was starting to get chilly... I took the set menu. Excellent fish. Dessert was a bit rich, but it was...my choise (the Mont Blanc!!!). Very good placeMore

Our family of 5 throughly enjoyed our dinner. We got turned away since it was full the night before, so made a reservation. So reserve in advance. I had the 35 EUR menu, which has 4-6 different dishes for each course. I had a cheesy...salad, pork main course and a desert (see the pictures). The others had steak, tartare, kidney and pasta for mains, and snails and frois grais for starter. It was all nice and tasty, and we could not recognize the comments in some of the negative reviews. Excellent food, fast service, friendly waiters. And a cost seat outside. Overall excellent, we would all go back.More

We hadn't been to this restaurant for some time but because of its recent accolade of "Bib Gourmand " decided to visit again. My glass of Macon Village was served warm and at euro 7.50 a glass I asked for another and this was replaced...with a chilled one. Not what I expected from this restaurant or wanted on a cold wet evening. We chose to eat a la carte. My entre of trout was plentiful but not particularly tasty, but my husband enjoyed his boudin noir. My husband and friends enjoyed their main course, but my ravioli was not good, very quickly after it was served it started to solidify on my plate, I therefore ate very little. When the waitress was clearing dishes I pointed out I was not happy and the chef did come to our table asking if I wanted something else, but by this time my husband and friends had finished their meal so I declined. We each had two courses coffee , small carafe of wine and three glasses of white. I was charged half price for my main course. However I think euro 216.00 was expensive for the meal, which was very ordinary we had hoped for a menu with a little more imagination than perche, steak etc served with frites and salad. We do live in evian but unfortunately will not be visiting this restaurant againMore

A very bad experience, among several disappointing facts, the waitresses served the cheese with her fingers , nothing to add... besides there was no goat cheese available and she did not know what is Reblochon....

it is a lovely, traditional restaurant in an old square. Good atmosphere. The staff were very good and the food delicious. I had fish tartar followed by steak. both very good and tasty . The food was not too piled or messed about. The wines...were a bit pricey. We all enjoyed our food.More

Le Muratore website narrative says there are menus from 20-27 Euros, but that is not true. The restaurant has been renovated and has conserved it’s historic style. It is in a charming location in the old town walking zone at a small plaza with fountain....The service was prompt and pleasant. For starters my wife had fish soup and I had truffle flavored ravioli, both of which were tasty. For the main course my wife had the Fera fish course which she rated as mediocre. I had the beef bavette which was delicious. We had a 375 ml carafe of table wine at a rip-off price of €20. In a country floating in good wine this high price is not justified. The desserts are primarily an assortment of artistic uncooked chilled puddings requiring little to none pâtissier competence. Something that can be done at home quickly for unexpected company or for a child’s snack. Our final bill was €97 including 1 very small glass of Prosecco and 2 coffees. It appears that the restaurant caters to tourists and is not interested in attracting repeat local customers. If Michelin awarded this restaurant a coveted Bib primarily based on €20-27 menus it should be withdrawn due to bait and switch tactics.More

We went with friends for the first time on Christmas eve. The restaurant was quiet but the atmosphere was good and the service and food were excellent. The menu isn't huge but it was a pleasant leisurely meal and we would definitely go again.
