Perhaps the food is good, but we will never know. I do know that many restaurants are closed on Sunday, which is why we were quite specific in our emails (plural). I should have taken a hint when their acceptance of my reservation and of my reconfirmation did not mention the date and time. (I did, both times)t So, my wife... More

Found by chance on a hunt for a decent lunch before the rugby final and it certainly didn't disappoint. Quality friendly service with knowledgeable English speaking staff. Food incredible as expected for a Michelin one star, if a little rich at times like all French food. Incredible wine list and very glad we found it!!

The uni on mushroom ravioli and fried frog legs on risotto was inventive and very delish. The bass was average. The chocolate souffle and panna cotta with chocolate sauce were yummy but nothing special. Ask about the dishes before ordering so you know what you will get. The service is great.

I booked Maison Clovis with maybe too high of an expectation. The food looked so pretty and was beautifully presented however I felt it a little bland in taste especially the staters and the service was very nice but also not to a Michelin standard. Maybe I need to try again?

We visited during wintertime and ate at the famous Maison Clovis, on a friends recommendation. The food was fantastic, we had the degus menu and had a lovely evening. The staff looked out for our party of four and snow and sleet did not dampen our evening afterwards.

We put ourselves in the hands of the chef by choosing the menu decoverte at 75 euro per head and in the hands of the waiter for the choice of wine by the glass to accompany each course. The risk paid off and we had a voyage of gastronomic discovery which I’d recommend to food-loving visitors to Lyon. We ate... More

Although we had to take a 15 euro taxi each way to the "New" side of Lyon (near RR station, Part Dieu) we felt it was worth it. The restaurant was small but not cramped by French standards. A head waiter also acted as wine steward With the help of one assistant the entire restaurant was serviced. We were there... More

I went to Maison Clovis for the first time for my birthday dinner in 2011 and we loved it. The decor is modern without being intimidating, the food is innovative and very good, and the wine selection was a winner. My hubby and I took our immediate families there for lunch after our civil marriage ceremony last month and les... More

Wonderful evening out in this good, but unpretentious restaurant. Great value for money in the chef's specialities menu (65 Euros for 4 courses + 2 amuse bouche). Excellent service, good wine suggestion and innovative dishes. We particularly enjoyed the langoustine starter. I'll be recommending Maison Clovis to all my friends.

Finest ingredients, perfectly prepared, exquisitely platted. Great advice on the choice of wines. Chef Clovis went out of his way to serve a delightful foie gras entrée to our American guests (even though it wasn't on the restaurant summer menu). Service was attentive, courteous. By all means, one the very best meals we ever had in Lyon.
