It is refreshing to go somewhere where you feel that everyone is trying their very best to achieve excellence. This was how I felt from the moment I entered the institute's restaurant. The food was wonderfully prepared, presented and served. Foie gras, lamb, cheese. Claret. Happiness. Immaculate staff, stylish decor, good atmosphere.

It's a wonderful experience. The students are understandably a little nervous but the service was wonderful and so was the food. The Jerusalem artichoke soup with truffles was wonderful . The lamb appeared to have been cooked sous vide and was tender pink and tasteless but the sauce more than made up for that defect. It's a pity that restaurants... More

It is very interesting concept. All the students were very polite and helpful. Excellent service, delicious food and well presented. It is also really interesting concept the open kitchen so we could see the preparation. Nice selection of glass wines. I loved the desserts and their presentation. Mine looked like a burger. I can't wait to visit again.

While I get the fact that all those preparing & serving our meal were students (& knew this beforehand) the price was steep for what my wife & I both felt was a fairly ordinary meal. It started OK (greeting, starter & service) but my both our main courses were over-seasoned. The desserts were not freshly prepared and were served... More

L'Institute Paul Bocuse was the last meal in Lyon and it was very good. The food was excellent, the service good, and overall a very nice experience. We were staying nearby so this was a very convenient place for us to eat, and if we stayed in the same area in Lyon, we would go back again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. The food was superb and service very good. Quite an entertaining experience as you can see through to the kitchens.

Yes, yes and yes! Do it! This class is worth every minute. We made Crepes Suzette with the most wonderful Chef and it was a perfect experience.

We decided to visit for dinner and we're not disappointed. Very nice service overall. The young man on reception thought it OK to look at his smart phone while we were waiting in reception. Not good. The waiter who served us was very nice and despite spilling some of the wine while pouring he did a nice job. Very nice... More

Highly recommend this place. Very attentive staff that can cater to the non French speaker. Great traditional French items, coupled with unique combinations and presentation.
