That's a typical Lyon restaurant which offers nice menus, a little pricy but not that much (17€ for a lunch menu with starter, main course and dessert). The atmosphere is really good even if the place is not huge. The staff is so nice! I recommend the meat piece from the 17€ menu witch is really good - can't remember... More

The fix priced menu started with entré of escargot burgonne, plat principal was arctic char with summer vegetables, housemate cheese pillow (local blue & creme/brie). The food was delicious, perfectly seasoned, and prepared fresh. The service was attentive without being intrusive. Simple meal done very well!

We came right after opening. So enough tables to sit at. The place is small and tables pretty close to each other. Never mind. We felt welcomed. The food and wine was fine. The personnel as well. The owner-chef came frequently to check clients satisfaction. Really nice experience.

Quirky little joint, with perhaps slightly disturbing looking puppets as interior decorations. Look beyond that and here is a place to celebrate traditional cooking. Prepare to be adventurous with your taste buds as they celebrate the tradition of using the less usual and less popular cuts of meats. I had the sweetbreads, which were cooked perfectly, they were delicately tender... More

We were here on a local's recomendation and were not disappointed about the food. But just as we ordered, the chef was making a big scene scolding one of the waiters, a young pleasant man, almost shouting, talking tersely and making quite a tirade. I don't speak French, but my companion did, and she felt so uncomfortable we almost got... More

We went to Brunet by hotel recommendation. It was crowded and tables were to be divided by other people. Well, no problem, it was part of the local mood. Service was friendly and well-humored. Prices were fair and in correspondence with food, which was quite good: escargots, foie gras, French style. Good wines for a fair price. Not a chic... More

I am giving this place a three because I have been here twice and each time out my three course meal I only had one dish that was good. The first time I went there I got a salad with a sort of cured fish which was fabulous, but my main course, tripe, was doused in lemon juice. The second... More

Our original destination was Bouchon Le Jera. But the owner told us the cafe is fully booked and he redirected us Bouchon Comptoir Brunet. This place turned out to be awesome and the original Lyonnaise cuisine was authentic and as advertised. We tried the quenelle and the tripe. The quenelle is quite a think and heavy dish - pike fish... More
