The Alpette burnt down yesterday Just got the information via friends and local residents. Really not much left, just a shell.
outstanding location, and one of the oldest alpine restaurants, opened in 1935, so quite a place. very pleasant staff who looked after our family superbly. good food, tastng all the better for being at 6000 feet+

The decor is cute, and nice open fires. However, the menu is quite basic, and more hearty dishes are all basically stodge (potatoes galore). Simpler plates of meats and the like are available.
