We had a lovely evening at L'Arolay - lovely Savoir faire and feel. The service was great, the atmosphere was warm, rustic and inviting, the quality of the food was very good and all for a very reasonable price considering it's location. We would have eaten there more than once if there had been availability. I recommend booking in advance.

Have eaten here twice whilst skiing in Val and both times the experience has been wonderful. The €39 Euro menu is outstanding value... a starter, main and dessert plus unlimited wine!! You can't go wrong. Had the snails, the raclette and the Tiramisu this time round. It was all fantastically cooked and delicious. Service can be a little slow as... More

Great situation and great food. We try to make the trip up to Le Fornet every year for something rustique or regional. We have never been disappointed. Fondue, tartiflette, braserade. Etc. Great local wines. Well worth adding to your ski holiday itinerary.

A bit hard to find, but once you do, it's worth it. Cozy restaurant with great views, interesting menu, reasonable prices, friendly service. The blueberry tart was to die for, and their cappuccinos are quite beautiful.

We went for a ski lunch and we enjoyed this meal very much. The food was nicely cooked and the service was good. The menu was not complicated and some of the choices were a bit on the basic side (a lot of chips) but really the food was good. 3 of us had Le Fameux Fillet d'Arolay which is... More

We went with our ski instructor, Henry, to this lovely place and had a great time. The surrounding area is so lovely! The restaurant is cosy, staff helpful and food and wine very good! Huge portions for those who want to keep skiing afterwards, but worth paying a visit!

Lovely, traditional savoyard lunch spot. Highly recommended for food and atmosphere and if I had finished skiing early and I just wanted to have a late lunch and chill for the afternoon it would be ideal. However, two hours for a group of 10 to have lunch (when the restaurant is not full) is not acceptable, when they must know... More

Amazing restaurant and excellent value for 3 courses plus unlimited wine (40 euros pp). We were so impressed with our first visit for 4 people we took the whole family for Xmas dinner. They serve fondues, raclettes, steaks etc. Food was fantastic. Best creme brûlée ever had. Wine was perfectly drinkable and on tap. The service was sublime, very impressed.... More

We visited l'arolay during our stay in val d'isere and i must admit the dinner was one of the best we have ever experienced. The food is amazing, the staff extremely friendly and the ambiance very adequate. If you're staying there, don't think twice about missing out this gorgeous experience. The plave is 5 minutes away from the center and... More

I love L'arolay. They serve until late which is great and there food is really good. They do a lot of set menu offers which usually include unlimited wine which is great value! Jump on the bus as its really easy and they will help you get back too :)
