We reserved in the mezzanine level for 2 of us, as we have been at this restaurant twice before. We had a table that was squished between a large round table and a table for 8 behind us. Unfortunately, the waiters & guests who were constantly pushing into my husband throughout the whole meal. Rarely did they excuse themselves and... More

Arrived for the 2:30pm seating to find utter chaos - everyone trying to get seated at the same time, tables leaving & being seated, blaring disco music outside - but things settled down once we got stuck in. Very nice, if a bit discombobulated, service. Food was excellent, and many novel presentations. My only gripe is that while we were... More

Beautiful location where you can eat in the restaurant or the wine cellar. Reservations are definitely recommended especially with a larger group. They have a great menu with both fish and meat. Staff is friendly and the quality of the food is perfect.

We went up the mountain for a late lunch and to watch the Folie Douce (which is really at its side) party. We were not disappointed. First of all we made reservations...the table was there and service was sympathetic and efficient brining food promptly and managing to inform upfront the dishes no longer available. Regarding the quality of the food... More

Year after year we come skiing to Val d'Isere. We have always visited La Fruitere despite the high prices even by Val d'Isere prices. We had booked the restaurant for ten people when we arrived we were shown to our table which was set for eight people and wouldn't have been possible to squeeze another two on therefore we asked... We are huge fans of La Folie Douce and La Fruitiere in Val Thorens where we have already spent our ski holidays several times. Each time we had lunch in La Fruitiere Val Thorens at least one time per week and we were always fascinated by the quality of the food and the ambience of the restaurant in approx. 2600m... More

Visited La Fruitiere last week and the service and food was as once again on top form. I tried the monkfish, which I strongly recommend. Also, the in-house wine guy suggested an amazing wine at a fair price. For a mountain restaurant with a stunning view, entertainment and after party, I think it is great value for money.

Still very good, but not as good as it was. Perhaps I am getting old but the folie douce outside can annoy if you are in for a long lunch. so can the cramped tables. the onion soup conceit is dull and the soup is too. the steak is ordinary. none of the dishes for 2 were available by the... More

We visited this place on a friend's recommendation. Nice restaurant in terms of decor. It's next to La Folie Douce if that's your inclination (I'd recommend CocRico near the bottom of the Olympique bubble). Food was average, none of it (we were a table of 7) was hot - lukewarm at best and very over priced for the quality. We... More

HIGH, CLASS, DINING(butcher, cheese maker, fishmonger, wine maker, baker..) and the modern, specially adapted techniques required (low-temperature slow cooking, heat-immersion, vacuum and pressure cooking…). The whole menu makes maximum use of quality local (Savoyarde) produce, an open invitation to indulge in the superb regional food culture. La Fruiterie is equally original in its interior design, taking its inspiration from the old mountain dairies, with a thoroughly modern design interpretation: from the white metal milk churns to the regional Beaufort styled furniture, the visible zinc pipework to the staff uniforms. The staff team are young, enthusiastic and dynamic, from the kitchens to the front of house, the emphasis is on a totally cool client/staff rapport, creating powerful customer loyalty.
