Still very good, but not as good as it was. Perhaps I am getting old but the folie douce outside can annoy if you are in for a long lunch. so can the cramped tables. the onion soup conceit is dull and the soup is too. the steak is ordinary. none of the dishes for 2 were available by the... More

We visited this place on a friend's recommendation. Nice restaurant in terms of decor. It's next to La Folie Douce if that's your inclination (I'd recommend CocRico near the bottom of the Olympique bubble). Food was average, none of it (we were a table of 7) was hot - lukewarm at best and very over priced for the quality. We... More

We've been here for nearly a week and this place wipes the floor with the others. The food is some of the best I've tasted anywhere in the world (let alone just mountain restaurants). It really is that good. It costs, but it is a case of you pay for what you get. We were a group of five and... More

Being attached to the Folie Douce I was rather expecting the same pretentious "faux" atmosphere that is plied there by the bucket load, but was plesantly suprised. It is very expensive, 30 euro avereage for a main meal, which for average spag bol or a burger is expensive even by Val standards That said my beef tartare was the best... More

My husband and I had a booking today's lunch. We had both recently become vegans and asked the server if they could do the mushroom risotto on the menu with olive oil instead of butter. We were told bluntly that all dishes are premade and therefore they could not make us anything. I even asked if they could just do... More

Our party of 18 were well looked after by a team of waiting staff. It took a while for them to take the orders and for food to arrive but we all ordered a la carte rather than being asked to accept a set menu which you might expect for such a large party. Food was great. We ate outside... More

This was the original Folie Douce. The Fruitiere is the attached waiter service expensive glamorous restaurant. Enjoy a Foie Gras burger with a bottle of wine from there very extensive and expensive wine list while enjoying the floor show. This usually starts at about 2pm. Dancing on the tables even in the glamorous Fruitiere part often follows later on. One... More

My recommendation is to go for the Dish of the day, it is always very fresh and cooked to perfection. The food is readably priced, especially for up the mountain. Booking is recommended and being flexible to sit in or out is always good. Bad weather days do not spoil the experience as there are many rooms inside including the... More

Have been skiing in Val d'Isere / Tignes for many years and have always enjoyed eating and lunching inside or outside at the La Fruitiere with the sister bar La Folie Douce for end of day drinks and a great party atmosphere. Good service and good food make this an ideal stop for lunch with friends or family

A long time since I visited La Fruitiere and you never know whether your memories play tricks and it really wasn't as good as you remembered. It was and still is excellent, took my wife there for lunch and she loved it. Great service, excellent food and a great ambience. All part of a great skiing week spoiled only by... More

Description
HIGH, CLASS, DINING(butcher, cheese maker, fishmonger, wine maker, baker..) and the modern, specially adapted techniques required (low-temperature slow cooking, heat-immersion, vacuum and pressure cooking…). The whole menu makes maximum use of quality local (Savoyarde) produce, an open invitation to indulge in the superb regional food culture. La Fruiterie is equally original in its interior design, taking its inspiration from the old mountain dairies, with a thoroughly modern design interpretation: from the white metal milk churns to the regional Beaufort styled furniture, the visible zinc pipework to the staff uniforms. The staff team are young, enthusiastic and dynamic, from the kitchens to the front of house, the emphasis is on a totally cool client/staff rapport, creating powerful customer loyalty.
