After a slightly shaky start when the owner was not especially warm and inviting, things soon settled into a great evening. The food and beer is excellent. Lots to eat so do a starter with care, doubt you'll need it. Great value and a nice cosy place. Would go back but make sure you either speak German or happy to... More

Eating pork knuckle with wheat beer and finishing the meal with schnapps is a delightful experience. The restaurant did a great job with service and food. We arrived as a group of 12, and the restaurant accommodated us with two tables of six. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Garmisch.

When you come to Bavaria in the middle of winter, you work up a hearty appetite and want something more substantial than quiche. This restaurant is centrally located and is welcoming, and their speciality is pork knuckle (schweinshaxe). The service was good and the food was tasty, freshly prepared, and very hot: Two large pork shanks, each of which had... More

Best place for traditional Bavarian food in GaPa! Alll pan dishes are delicious and huge! The pork fillet with rostie and pepper sauce is not to be missed either! We had a great family dinner!

Amazing Bavarian food. Service is really good. Good ambiance. Portions are huge. We truly enjoyed our meal here. This is our favorite restaurant of friends who are traveling with us. We are so happy they shared it with us!

Arrived and noticed a sign saying "cash only". Having just arrived from Switzerland and not having Euros, the staff directed us to nearby ATM, even walking outside to be sure we understood the directions. Returned with Euros in hand and discovered we needed far fewer than we anticipated. Both of us had pork medallions with cognac peppercorn sauce, roesti potatoes... More

We didn't have a booking and it was a busy night but the staff managed to get us a table after a short wait. Traditional Bavarian menu and the food is very good with decent sized portions. Service is very good too with two staff covering the whole restaurant. Worth a visit.

Kitschy, but extremely enjoyable environment. The food was fantastic and we had great service- if I lived in Garmisch, I would get fat just from this restaurant!

Didn't have a reservation, they were busy, but we got a table. Might want to make a reservation to ensure a table. Awesome food, traditional Bavarian and lots of it. Service was excellent. Very inexpensive. I had the farmers pan; bacon, sausage, gravy topped pork on a pile of sauerkraut and fries. Wonderful. Great ambiance inside. Lots of locals dining... More

The friendly staff gave us seats even though we didn't have any reservation made. My husband and I both had the venison goulash, and it was really delicious! Service was superb! Definitely beyond 5 stars!
