EMIKO is located on the first floor in Hotel Louis across from the Viktualienmarkt. Very comfortable place to eat very good Sushi. There were other non-sushi choices on the menu. Atmosphere was pleasant and acoustics were perfect to have an intimate conversation. There is a...More

Modern style, cool decor. Large tables, enough space between tables. However it can get loud when it is very busy. Also a good place for some people watching, trendy clientele. Food is good. The salmon and the scallops as starters were very good, very tasty....More

We decided to treat ourselves by booking this restaurant for our anniversary dinner. The modern style Japanese menu offered a great range of interesting and tasty dishes so we were keen to sample a few small sharing plates and their sashimi & sushi combination offer....More

I visited alone on a Monday night and did not have a reservation. I was told 20-30 minutes. I stood at the bar and had a few drinks while I waited. After an hour, plenty of other people had been seated that came in after...More

From Viktualienmarkt you go up the stairs, through the hoyel lobby to the restaurant. Tastefully decorated, hip waiters dressed in black, thumping music. The menu has classic and 'modern' dishes (ex: spicy avocado wrapped in carrot peel). The food was good, better than this Asian-Caucasian...More

Emiko Bar has wonderful drinks in a very cozy atmosphere by a fireplace. The restaurant atmosphere is also very nice. I can't say the same about its food. Presentation was great, but very tasteless. I expected much more for that money.

Here is how to max out your experience at Emiko just to declare my bias upfront: this is my wife's favorite Asian restaurant in Munich, so whenever we end up with a spare evening in Munich this is one of the hot options. Here are...More

Description
EMIKO RESTAURANT EMIKO takes you on a trip through Tokyo and combines the traditional, Japanese dining culture with influences of modern, international cuisine. It values the special culinary experiences it creates and pays great attention to the perfect and careful preparation of the food and the combination of aromas from different Asian countries. The food is served in the middle of the table and then enjoyed by the "sharing principle", where everyone is able to try everything - eating together, talking, and feeling alive. This way food becomes a stimulating platform for experiencing this extraordinary way of dining. It developed in metropolises like London, New York, Tokyo, Sao Paulo, Hong Kong or Mexico City. The chefs were trained in Tokyo and are therefore able to bring this dining culture to life.
