We ordered some mix of tiny main dishes, which was great for trying out different flavours. Definitely way enough for two people in terms of quantity. We found it very tasty, but tbh we don't have that much comparison. Our waiter was friendly and we liked the atmosphere
Came here with a small group of friends. The Lamb Bhuna was tasty as was the garlic naan. Others in the group also enjoyed theirs. The bill was average for Munich. With so many Indian restaurants to choose from in Munich these days - I would not mind returning here.
While the reviews for Sarovar were not great, we were satisfied with our experience. That said, a caveat.... We live in Rome where Indian food is basic and bland - so perhaps our standards are low. We found the service to be friendly and attentive. The food was good (saag paneer and a chicken coriander dish). And the prices reasonable.... More
I looove Vietnamiese food, and this place is for far one of my fav here in Munich. The place is very cozy and the attention is excellent!. They have an English menu which is always very helpful as well. I had the Pho Soup and it was delicious! big serve and a decent price.

I found good food in this restaurant. They have nice Thali for lunch which has multiple home made kind of dishes.
disclaimer: i'm not a solid expert on Indian food but i do like it. given this, I found this place quite decent -- i've tried both vegetarian and non-vegetarian thalis and both were quite good. the lamm palak was particularly memorable. and the chai -- i normally drink pots of it. a solid dinner choice for non-picky Indian food eaters.
In my opinion I don't think the chef has even been to India. The biriyani tasted like it was made using Maggie noodle masala flavor. India has a lot of state wide cuisines / styles ranging from Chettinadu to Kashmiri to rajistani etc... This didn't fit any know style. Maybe the chef has adopted his style based on public opinion...
