We went on a very busy Saturday afternoon, I wanted the best Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte around and I think that is what i got, Delicious. My family members had other pastries and all were very happy. The Hot chocolate was also great. The place is obviously very popular with tourists but also locals, so be prepared for busy staff and potentially... More

We heard about their Black Forest cake and we were not disappointed. Made with local cherry liquor, as mandated by law. It was light and fluffy. We also had the raspberry tart and pistachio chocolate cake and they were also very good.

What a wonderful selection of delicious treats! It was difficult deciding what one fancied. A hot drink and cake slices after a cold stroll around Munich on a wet day was what was needed. Wonderful!

Most of the cafe's close around 6pm. We wanted to have cakes for dinner, the hotel recommended this place. It was fantastic! We had a tapas menu for dinner, while the kids enjoyed their hot chocolate and cakes. The service was very good and the food and wine was great. With the tapas menu you have no idea what would... Well not really one for the kids - as we found out after we had sat down. Fortunately they were really well behaved. Had an amazing breakfast, with live (gentle) music and singing. The food was amazing and there was real attention to detail. We also took out some cakes, which at €5 each was a little expensive - but... More

We had dessert and coffee at Cafe Luitpold on a weeday afternoon. The place was packed but we managed to get a table and service was fast. We liked being able to see the desserts in the display (even though there was no description of the desserts in English and we had to ask the staff what was what). We... More

The luitpold eggs benedict with smoked salmon was incredible! Beautiful setting, interesting history with little museum upstairs. High chairs and baby changing table available if you have little ones.

Went here for a midday brunch. Coffee was lovely. They made the Benedict for me with mushrooms instead as I am vegetarian, most places won't do this so it was nice to not feel like an idiot for my food choices. Food was lovely and extra bread for the table was complimentary. Our server unfortunately did not catch his name... More
