Had booked a table but was asked to wait . No one approached us and we had to ask 3 times before we were shown our table. Food.. the duck was in parts extra roasted in was way which was impossible to eat. Also, the other food we ordered was not to our expectations. Sadly, a waste of money

Great reception by the management despite us ( a party of 4) having no reservation. They found us a seat at the bar gave great service and found a table that we could use for a couple of hours. Food was exceptional ( half duck with red cabbage and knodeln) and the service was way beyond our already high expectation(... More

Wasn't sure what to expect with this place, but on arrival it was great. A modern, incredibly atmospheric (for a Sunday night) Bavarian restaurant. Great at tentative service provided by the staff. Paulaner on tap and a fantastic Schweinebraten for my main. All in all everyone enjoyed their food, drink and service. We were not rushed in the slightest and... More

We were invited by our German friends and we were told this is where locals will go too. This is a little out of place from town. We took Uber from town to save the trouble. Food is really good, delicious beer, great service, lively ambience and fair priced. Will sure to go again if I were to visit Munich... More

This place is tucked away behind the Deutsches Museum and a whole lot less touristic than the more famous and central Hofbraeuhaus and Augustiner. Also a more modern feel (especially in the bathrooms :) and lighting fast service make this a hidden gem. Food is great, Bavarian fare, generous portions (gigantic Knoedel!) and excellent desserts.

Great but very German - if you don't like meat, potatoes and dumplings you're going to find the menu a bit limited but it's well cooked, tasty and simple food with beer and all served in a great, authentic atmosphere.

Within a couple blocks of our hotel, it was recommended to us by our tour director. The atmosphere is what we as travelers would expect from a Bavarian restaurant - it works. Bustling atmosphere with waitresses in costume. The food was very good as was the beer. Do not be in a hurry. It took awhile to get our check... More

Traditional "bier haus" feel with tables, benches and German ambiance. Food has great flavor, especially enjoyed the medallions of pork with potatos and cranberry sauce. We were intimidated by the desert platter, but recommend any group of 6 or more to give it a try as the "delivery" is quite spectacular. BE SURE TO MAKE RESERVATIONS.

Decided to try traditional cuisine on a Sunday evening in Munich after spending all day walking around the city. Needed to be near to Holiday Inn. Excellent find, very friendly greeting and option of English menus if needed. All the traditional favourites were available, service was friendly and prompt. Great example of its kind!

Dined early as we didn't have a table booked. Dominik was a fantastic waiter! (And understood our aussie humour) We felt welcome right from the front door through to the farewell. Great drinks - including a tricky wine recommendation. We really enjoyed our meal, the great service and the atmosphere. Make a booking, or dine early, well recommended.
