Well known place for local food. Huge restaurant with several rooms. Food is ok, you get all the local stuff and it is ok but not really great. The goose was very tough, the red cabbage was very good. The Wiener schnitzel was good, unfortunately...More

Nice location downtown. Very nice inside especially for the internal garden. Typical menu served. Good service and beer. Small portions and high price compared on what you get. Almost a turist trap...

I'm definitely not a fan of Bavarian food, however, I can appreciate this restaurant for its nice ambience and traditional decor, the ability to tackle large groups and the quality of food. I have been here a couple of times during Oktoberfest and have noticed...More

I've been in this restaurant with clients during an exhibition in Munich. My German colleague booked this restaurant for us. We ate very good Bavarian dishes above all meat: pork shank was fantastic. Very good beer. Location beautiful and very typical

We visited the place during the opening weekend of the 2017 Oktoberfest. The restaurant looks very traditional and high-class. We saw locals with kids there. We really enjoyed the food and beer. The only thing that disappointed was the service. The waiter Muhamed was extremely...More

I love this restaurant. They serve my favorite beer, Franziskaner, among other beers such as Louwenbrau. The menu is traditionally Bavarian. All of their traditional plates are delicious and the quantity of food is worth the price.

I really just came to Zum Franziskaner to sit back and order a few beers. I sat down, and was immediately told to go to a different room for just drinks, so I was not a huge fan of that, plus the guy was rude...More

We thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing lunch here at Zum Franziskaner! I kept to a soup which was very thoughtfully prepared and nibbled off my friend's duck and red cabbage! There was something special about each dish! GO THERE!
