Recommended by our nearby hotel when we arrived at 9pm - hearty, filling traditional food. We had goulash soup in a bread bowl then pork shoulder with dumpling or beef in sour sauce with dumpling- both very nice. Keller beer or Pils both very refreshing also good range of wines by the glass. A real gem!

Local favorite and really bustles especially during the Christmas Market which was our time to visit. We ate lunch there twice and were not disappointed. Suggest you make a reservation, however we were able to get lunch without one. The Weiner Schnitzel was very good and the pork shoulder was very tasty. I also tried the Wild Boar was tasty,... More

Decided to find a restaurant slightly off the tourist path while in town, and happened accross this gem. Decided to have the slow cooked beef in a sour sauce with red cabbages and potato dumplings. Really rich and hearthy. Pity I didn't have the space to try anything else

We arrived tired and late after a long day of travel and found a table in a room which seemed to be filled with locals. The owner, or manager, after some hesitation as we spoke little German helped us with our drink order, directing us to the local beer and was helpful navigating us through the very German menu to... The restaurant was recommended by a very knowledgeable staff member working at our hotel. We had meals that were "meat" focused. There are vegetarian choices as well. Our wine was locally sourced. The service was very good, the decor was Bavarian. All and all a very good experience!

A classic restaurant that provides a typical German dish. Nice service and over all a smile on the staff. No problem that they only spoke German.

The food was good but not excellent. I had a potato and vegetable gratin which I enjoyed mostly because I hadn't eaten many green vegetables recently. The broccoli was a little bit undercooked. It was still heavy from cream and cheese. The service was a bit begrudging. The restaurant was rather hot but it was a hot day and we... More

The wonderful little restaurant is just off from the main route into the centre of Nuremburg from the station. It’s full of character and the character is the waitress. She bustles here and there, efficiently showing people to a table, taking orders, bringing plates of delicious traditional German food – always with a smile of her face. We went on... More

We have been in Nuremberg for only a few days and wanted to find the perfect Bavarian restaurant experience...this was it. Casual, friendly, great sauerbraten, fried camembert, garlic bread, Nuremberg bratwursts. And reasonable prices.

Got this recommendation straight off TripAdvisor. It's small and intimate and the food was very good. Our server was very friendly and spoke a bit of English- we speak a bit of German and between us communication was good. We shared the Cammbert appetzizer. I had a small salad and my husband had a schnitzel - it was folded in... More
