Great sausages! Wasn't sure how much I should order at first but thankfully the other people couldn't finish their's so I had more. Very simple menu. Order the number sausages and which sides you want. Comes in an old style tin plate. No fuss. Just eat and then go. If you're expecting full or top-notch service, then don't bother. But... More

The restaurant is in a beautiful setting and the meat cooked over wood is a wonderful thing. However, the meats are offered with side dishes,( 1 of ) as part of a meal, but we were charged €6.80 for a green salad that was supposed to be included and then when my husband paid the bill of €67.50 with €80.00... We were kicked out 2 hours ago from this restaurant. We entered with our 2 kids (2 and 6 years old). Our 2 year old was asleep in the buggy. We were told if we want to stay we needed to leave the buggy outsde the restaurant or leave the place. The first table on the right was free and... More

Almost always have to book, this place is so busy. Traditional 'sausage house' with simple menu, serving great sausages and pork medallions with kartoffelsalat and really good sauerkraut. Not forgetting the horseradish, and a good range of beers. Great for a night out with lots of friends.

The restaurant is the oldest one in the city dating from 15th century. It's small but the staff make sure there is room for everybody. We have eaten the sausages with a side dish and everything was perfect. Food was really good and freshly grilled. The portions just enough. I'm not a fan of sausages but I ate everything on... More

This is a small restaurant that specializes in Nurnberger sausages, they use beechwood smoke to create a special flavor. The sauerkraut, potato salad, and freshly grated horse radish were perfect for sides, and also full of flavor. The decor is very old world rustic and it seems like you have stepped back in time. Love the place. Didn't have any... More

Good eats and location...service so-so! All the traditional German fare, schnitzels, wurst, brook trout, red cabbage, spaëtzle and knödel...try the Schweinehäxe (pork knuckle), fabulous and huge. Desserts and fine wine abound also. Just tolerate the service, which will try to rush you...hold your ground.

We visited on a cold night after visiting the Christmas market. We were not disappointed by the great beer, atmosphere and great nuremberger sausages! The staff was helpful and pleasant. We arrived early in the evening and by the time we left, it was full. Great choice for a feel of the "true" German experience!

We have come to this sausage house a handful of times over the years in which we have visited Nurnberg... the sausages are lovely but the service has always been terrible ... they are very abrupt, rush you to order, try and force their sides onto you e.g. Horseradish sides for everyone ... if you are not German you are...
