Our group had lunch here. It's in the heart of the old town. They must get a lot of large groups. They were ready for us. Our meals came out very quickly. We got a thick beef barley soup which was good. My friend and I both tried the local beer and we got white wine for our wives. The... More

We stopped here for a typical German meal. My wife had the sausage plate with 3 different types with saurkraut, I had wiener schnitzel with fried potatoes and a salad. The portion size was enough for four people! The food was very good and the service was prompt and attentive. Multi language me use were immediately provided, and the wait... More

After walking around old Regensburg, I made my way to the Ratskeller, which had a number of tables set up for drinking and dining in a small plaza. Rather than go inside, I decided to dine outside and watch the activities in the plaza. I sat down, ordered a beer, and then decided to order an early lunch. I ordered... More

Lovely day to sit outside. Service slow but waitress very nice. Very busy area so a lot of people to watch while waiting for food. Regensburg sausages were wonderful. Potato salad was good. Located in downtown/historical area.

The Ratskeller is a fun place that seems best suited for larger groups. It filled quickly during our lunch last week with what seemed to be a sizable tour bus crowd. They were a boisterous group who enjoyed the beer hall atmosphere. But a couple seeking an intimate venue is best advised to seek another restaurant. The beer was great,... More

Great old building with attractive wall paintings. The food was regional and very enjoyable. Peeping into the kitchen it looked spacious and professional all fittings in stainless steel.

A very old building which once was to do with the town hall. The atmosphere is good, with the walls decorated with coats of arms of Rats (councillors) from the late medieval times. Their own-brewed wheat beer is a good solid drink, and the quality and portion-size of food was good, too - I had a large pork hock with... More

Great food, quiet and quaint beer cellar ambience. We ordered beers, wine, and food, all of which were great. Not too crowded either.

as I was, when we visited the Ratskeller for the first time on a return trip to Rgbg, you will get it at the Ratskeller. Roast duck with potato dumplings and red cabbage is a classic dish, and they did it right that night. Located in the old city hall in the medieval town center, it is tourist-laden but has... More

The Regensburger Ratskeller is situated in a historic building in the "Regensburger Altstadt". The interior is promising with the vaulted ceiling and the medieval theme based decorations. Despite that the restaurant was jam-packed with guests, we had the luck to obtain a comparative quiet table, because the occupants of that table were just leaving. Ordering large beers we sat down,... More
