Cafe Schonborn is an excellent cafe in the restaurant mode more than the pastries mode. It is across the Markplatz from Cafe Michel and is probably a better choice for substantive food but falls a bit short of Cafe Michel in the sweets department.

With the ticket from the City Train Tour you get a free coffee. That's why I came here but the menu impressed me so I stayed for dinner. Good prices and good coffee. Definitely recommend!

Good stop for coffee and cakes. Right am Marktplatz. The Himbeertorte and Sacher torte were really good.

Four of us had lunch here. Convinient location and reasonable price. But the server had no willingness to help you with the order unless you already know what you are going to get. Everyone is busy and no time to answer your question. Slow in taking orders.

We had traditional Bavarian food, like Sausages, Sauerbraten, and schnitzel. it was all perfect. The outdoor seating and staff were great!

My Family and I had lunch here in August 2016. We sat outside. The large umbrellas provided perfect shade. The service was timely and friendly. The food was very good. I had Weiss Wurst for the first time here, and I really enjoyed them. My wife enjoyed her Olive and Feta Pflammkuchen (thin crust pizza without any tomato Sauce). Overall,... More

We stopped here for lunch to try out the local beer and wine as we were informed that this area was known for its wine. We also sampled schnitzel and a variety of local sausages, including blood sausage and white sausage. Meals also included cabbage and dumplings. All meals were very tasty and well prepared. The local beverages were also... More

The cramped seating speaks to the quality of the baked goods. As with most traditional European cafes, you may nurse an espresso for hours. For Cafe-Lovers, Schönborn is worth a stop.

This is not my favorite place to eat in Würzburg, but it does have salads which is not always easy to find. The coffee is also okay, however the location is excellent and it will work in a pinch.
