I lived in Berlin for 6 years, so I probably should have known better. However, the kids had a hankering for Austrian food, so we decided to visit this place. It's nicely decorated and cozy inside...but, in hindsight, I recall having seen tourist buses outside before...so be forewarned. Menu showed some pretty pricey entrees. I decided to play it safe... Near the Olympic stadium/Herta BerlIin. The spinach strudel and horseradish sauce were great. Wienerschnitzel for the carnivores was highly praised too. Brisk and efficient service.

We stopped here for lunch after visiting the nearby British & Commonwealth War Cemetery. It had snowed a few days earlier, and with the temperature still below zero, the surrounding woodlands looked very pictoresque, but we were glad to start off with two steaming glasses of gluhwein! The restaurant was warm, as was the welcome. Our waitress spoke English, but... More

My friends and I came here after a Hertha Berlin game. We wanted to have dinner and drinks. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. He suggested Hirter beer, which was very good. I had the spinach streudel and I loved it. The atmosphere was very comfortable, and the restroom was clean. I will return here when I visit Berlin... More

My husband and I were in the area and decided to see if there was a table available as the restaurant appeared very busy. Fortunately we were given what appeared to be the last available table at the time. We were greeted with smiles and fortunately the waitrons spoke English. Our coats were hung up for us before we were... More

He drove by and stopped for a snack. We all had strudels and the portions were quite big and heavy. The biergarten beside the restaurant was nice and the waitresses in their lederhosen were friendly. The food was somewhat disappointing, it was ok, but not worth the price.

Well, what could you title a place which served a beef consome with bacon dumpling to die for. The place is a gem, the staff so warm and welcoming (there was five inch of snow on the ground), the food is fantastic and would thoroughly recommend it. We went at lunchtime after visiting the Wargrave cemetry in the park and... More
