Went here this evening for a meal, we we're lucky to get a table as we didn't have a booking. The food is exceptional, the house wine is lovely and the whole place has a great atmosphere. Toilets and kitchen very clean. The restaurant is spacious and even when busy it does not feel crowded. This is the best Italian... More

The locale was quite nice, especially considering the location. Italian speaking staff, and the most cute home-made menu we've seen. This was a super nice place to eat some authentic Italian food in Berlin. Recommended.

The whole place is decorated like a real Italian Trattoria. Slow Italian vintage music is playing, the atmosphere smells like fresh baked bread and the owners are waiting for you friendly. But let's get to the point; the food! We ordered as an anti pasti a mozzarella with tomato. Let me say, that all ingredients were perfectly cut and presented... More

Authentic Italian. The chef clearly cares about his customers. The menu changes and they have a daily specials board rather than a set menu. Good value.

We are three friends from Ireland on a city break. We trip advised Italian restaurants and Peperoncino came up with great reviews. Rightly so. It was fab. We had the surprise menu and the chef did an amazing job. We had no idea what we were getting and every course was top quality and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly... More

This is a must visit if you love authentic Italian food! You have to make a reservation for sure as it’s a very popular restaurant. I would for sure recommend to take the surprise menu. Antonio, the cook, will not disappoint you. Enjoy!

Nice ambience, traditional Italian, fresh dishes, good portions, good value. Friendly staff. Excellent wine. Definitely glad I read trip advisor to book this restaurant! Definitely recommend. Small menu but this was a good thing - as everything was clearly fresh!

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
