This restaurant "Viale dei Tigli" kept the standard of fine "homemade" Italian food just perfect. It start with a warm welcome, fresh bread and antipasto to main corse. Good service , fresh food and at the end Grappa from the house. As it has to be. Love the place and location. Parking direct on the other side st they Hotel ADLON.

Staying at apartments in the same building, so this was handy for our late arrival to the city. Friendly service, a good range on the menu and a simple, tasty meal. To be honest this was better than we expected,

We booked here in advance having visited the restaurant to confirm that they had gluten free pasta as one of our party is gluten intolerant, we were advised yes no problem. On the day of our booking we arrived at the restaurant and we're greated by a surly waiter, he lead us to a table and effectively threw menus down... More

We stopped by this restaurant after a very busy and cold morning in Berlin and have to say this was just the perfect find! Delicious authentic Italian food, great menu, service and all at a pretty reasonable price for a nice restaurant. Highly recommend!!

this is a restaurant you will love. No fancy design, no waiters as actors, just good frsh food with personal service. The menu card is a mix of traditional Italian food and classic wine-bar. Decent elegance and friendly service. The patron is their and welcome you. The kitchen fresh and good. A place you can talk and enjoy. Great location... More

Went to the Italian round the corner from our hotel between checking out and leaving for the airport. And the food was so good and the staff so friendly. Stroke of good fortune.

My partner and I went here for our last meal in Berlin as we were staying nearby, but I really wish we hadn't! We were pretty much ignored by the staff, had to ask to order drinks and order our meal! We both had pasta dishes which were bland, rubbery and horrible! We left most of it as it was... More

I didn't expect a lot from this place, and got that. Just very fresh carpaccio, tasty salami pizza with crispy edge, and perfect coffee with classical tiramisu. What else do you need at Ristorante Italiano after long walk from Alexanderplatz along Unter den Linden? It is just behind the corner from Brandenburg Tor. It is perfect location and perfect time... Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
